I have been looking for a replacement for my current domoticz controller witch is running on a raspberry pi 2. Everything have been working great but I have been reading alot of sd-card corruptions that will happen soner or later. I also know there are some tips that you can use a ramdisk etc. But now I stumbled over the Orange pi plus 2e. Quad core 1.6Ghz, 2Gb RAM, wifi, Gigabit ethernet, 16Gb eMMC...
So there is no need for a sdcard as I guess that you could install directly on the eMMC and from what I have been reading the eMMC have some internal wear leveling.
So total price would be 35$ +shipping and power adapter. So is the orange pi something that could be used to run domoticz?

I checked your link, according to a review it should be able to run armbian. I'm no expert, but I guess installation in the normal way could been possible or compiling yourself
Armbian bug overview ;

They also have debian jessie for download (for some reason called legacy). The raspberry runs this same OS.
Looks like it is possible to install and run domoticz normally

SD cards also have some WL... And you can change a SD when it fails. Not a soldered eMMC, even if it should be more reliable than a consumer grade SD because they usually only implements dynamic wear-levelling:

Another possibility could be to buy industrial grade (ยต-)SD cards. They implement static WL + some power fail resiliency.

i just did
Raspberry Pi/Ubuntu installation: 'sudo curl -L install.domoticz.com | bash'
and all works, only noticed that GPIO support is broken (it use raspberry version) .. (but you can use python scripts for GPIO as workaround)
im running domoticz about half year, without problems

Another option might be to run it from a USB stick.
