Hello,
I'm new here, so hello to all!
I'm renovating my home and I would like to put smart relays for the lights. Searching the supported devices list, I see that the price for them is very high (e.g. more than 60€ for a Fibaro FGS221).

On the other hand, aliexpress if full of cheap 433MHz remote relays, but they don't support the addition of a physical pushbutton.

Do you know if a cheap solution with relay AND pushbutton support exists?

433 is not mandatory, for me any wireless protocol is OK. I checked the sonoff but I don't see that it has a connector for a switch/pushbutton, I'm seeking for a module supporting both a switch and wireless communication.

Hi,
The Sonoff has the sort of button you want.
As Mayyam says, with ESPeasy you can program the device to toggle on a button press and update Domoticz, or switch on/off from Domoticz,
It is really neat bi-directional control.

Sorry, I didn't notice that the pairing button can also be used for switching the relay on and off!

I will certainly look into this Sonoff relay, thank you! Do you know other similar devices with a screw connector for the external switch? It's a little bit annoying to disassemble each Sonoff to solder my switch.

BTW, if I have understood correctly, the procedure for the Sonoff is this:
1. Solder a pin strip to the serial pads of the Sonoff and solder my external switch instead of the existing one
2. Flash espeasy via a usb-serial ttl cable
3. Pair it with the 433mhz module on the Rasperry Pi running Domoticz

I'm still a newbie, so my questions are very prosaic!

I use my Sonoffs in Wifi mode, it seems more robust than 433MHz, and it's what ESPeasy is really good for!
What does your external switch do that the Sonoff's can't?
I just pushed a 4-pin header into the holes without soldering them.
Contact was good enough for flashing.

I just want the possibility to use a wall switch to control the house lights, I don't want to rely only on the wifi+raspberry combination. Plus It would be uncomfrotable to use only the phone to switch on and off the lights. And finally, if the Sonoff goes south and I have to wait the delivery of another one, or if I move and want to bring with me all the tech stuff, I could replace it with a normal relay and simply control the lights with the wall switches.

1 - sonoff 10A have a spare 1 pin (14 gpio on the fifth pin) for user where You can connect Your switch instead of ruin existing one

This is great! I'm really a newbie, so maybe this is a dumb question: the spare pin already has a pull-up/down resistor or I have to add it?
Also: do I have to write the code to debounce and manage the button press by myself, or the ESP Easy already has everything built in?

I think that these are my last questions, at least for now

ESPEasy have it. I don't know about the resistor, but there was no aditional resistor needed in few tutorials i have seen.

I am also looking for a 433mhz relay with a physical button which I can remotely control and also see if it is on/off. The sonoff solution looks a bit complicated.

There are lots of physical wall switches that have 433mhz on them, but unfortunately, i havent found any that will update their state in domoticz if you use physical switch :/ I anyone know, please tell

Pros:

• branded quality
  works with any existing wall switch and any existing lighting

Cons:

• bit pricey for a relay (esp when multiplied for whole house)
  canNOT be directly paired with £25 PIR sensor
  receive only

Option 4: Sonoff relay

Cons:

• complicated to install with soldering etc.

For some lights in my house think I will go with Option 1, but there are others where I wish to keep the light fitting and a relay would be ideal. Could stick to Lightwaverf but open to hear of any others.

Also, note that in addition to Lightwaverf there is the Byron Homeeasy EU dimmers as well, and these are somewhat more cheaper. Haven't tried them but they are meant to be compatible with rfxtrx as well..
