I'm contemplating getting started with a modern home automation system. If I were to use Domoticz as the head-end (installed on my unRAID server) what would I need to buy besides:

* OpenZWave radio like the Z-Wave USB stick by Aeotec (http://aeotec.com/z-wave-usb-stick)
* A Z-Wave device like the GE Z-Wave In-wall Light Switch (http://www.z-wave.com/shop-z-wave-smart ... ght-switch)

Do I need a hub or my computer running Domoticz now the hub?

Anything else required?

Thanks!

What do you mean by 'hub'?

A smart hub like a SmartThings Hub (https://www.smartthings.com/how-it-works) or some other brand of hub.

Can a SmartThings Hub be integrated into Demoticz?

Domoticz IS the hub. You do not need other hardware. Only the hardware to run domoticz (along with for example the zwave devices you mention)

That's what I figured.

How well does it interface with Phillips Hue?

I don't have experience with them. But more information is available on the wiki
