rflink do not transmit (maybe)

Hi ,

I am Riccardo from Italy,

I am new here, in the forum and in the world of home automation!

I've installed domoticz on my iMac, then I assembled an rflink:

bought a Saintsmart copy of arduino and a rflink module, on nodo-shop.nl

the rflink mounts the aurel transceiver, and because I am not so good with the solder, I bought also the soldering service: my assembly work has been just to link the arduino to the rflink module: easy :)

domoticz sees and talks with the rflink fine

BUT I have a problem:

I have a remote command for some plug switches, branded Avidsen(103100). When I press the remote buttons, they are recognised (by domoticz) as Light switch ELRO AB400.

The problem is that when domoticz sends the signal to switch , it doesn't work: domoticz logs say "sent", the rx tx lights on arduino flashes, but the switch doesn't change.

I have used a radio receiver (sdr usb module + gqrx app) to see the signals, the one coming from rflink is poor, weak and dirty.

I have another remote command switch kit, branded SIlvercrest (Lidl distribution) and recognised as LightSwitch Unitec, and the behaviour is just the same.

:?: where could be the problem? did I miss something ? :?

the arduino is powered by the iMac , the antenna I am using I took from a dismissed wifi hotspot so may be it isn't perfect for 433mhz:
low power? bad antenna? ... ??

thanks, RIc

First try a 433 Mhz antenna. You said it yourself the transmit signal of the RFLink is poor and dirty. That could well be caused by the bad antenna
