Rflink Not Working at all
Hi guys,
Last week i bought a rflink gateway to connect with my raspberry pi and my somfy blinds...I have soldered all components etc. and believe me i'm experienced in soldering due to my daily work activities..i connected it to the rflink loader and could flash it to the latest fw version...tried to connect a somfy telis and a kaku switch and nothing happend after that i did some research and found out that connecting the ground of the rf connector directly to the arduino board it would work so wired a direct connection and yes it worked it was already 02.00 so i wanted to start programming the next day and so i did but this time it didnt want to pick any signal anymore...guys i give up..pfff

Re: Rflink Not Working at all
It is no fun if something won't work, happens to me frequently.
But keep up beat
My rflink works, also build myself.
Without modifications
And I know that it is working for a lot of other people.
I'm afraid that no matter the skills that you have, there is something wrong with the build or maybe a component.
Not easy to say without having the device in hand.

Re: Rflink Not Working at all
i will send some pictures tonight. The strange thing is when i made a direct connection from the ground of the antenna rf plug to the ground of the mega it worked for one day. Next day signal not been recognized anymore. I always use a ESD strapp and gloves use a great Weller soldering station with heat automation so i wont burn the board...pffff getting tired..

Re: Rflink Not Working at all
I seem to have the same problem.
It seems all solderings are okay, flashed the firmware R45.
If i run RFLink Loader coming in the package and switch Debug on and use an Kaku remote nothing seems to happen?
Anyone have any ideas?
My board is version 1.1.4.

Re: Rflink Not Working at all
What do you see in the rflink loader screen?
You can make a connection between pin 12 and 13, reboot, remove connection, reboot again and run normally.
This fixes some issues with eeprom settings.

Re: Rflink Not Working at all
I can see firmware etc, tells me Some mode status and when pressing debug it writes a line of test like rfdebug on. Thats all.

Re: Rflink Not Working at all
Like you can see soldering isnt the problem. I again checked all soldering islands and they were perfect even the multimeter confirmed good conenction..What do you mean with connecting pin 12 and 13?
To be honoust i am already working a couple off days with this rflink board to get it to work and i am getting frustrated and otherwise i have to see this as a failure and accept the fact my money goes trough the drain and buy a rfxcom trx433e transceiver:?

Re: Rflink Not Working at all
Hi,
just purchased and nothing works... trying to debug via minicom, but I get that:
After the initial 20;00;Nodo RadioFrequencyLink - RFLink Gateway V1.1 - R45; I don't get nothing.
Purchased with soldering option.
Exist an option to hard reset the arduino board to empty state?
EDIT:
Downgraded to version 43, something works:
So, why only R43 works and R44 and R45 no?

When you only see this:
20;00;Nodo RadioFrequencyLink - RFLink Gateway V1.1 - R45;
10;VERSION;
10;RFDEBUG=ON;
10;STATUS;
you have to reset the eeprom.
make a connection between pin 12 and 13, reboot, remove the connection, reboot again and r44 andr45 will work.

Re: Rflink Not Working at all
Hi,
After sending Nodo-shop a request with build guide for the 1.1.4 board if found out that there should be a 5x2 header in the bottom right corner of the board. I used the 1.1.3 guide from YouTube to build my board. Anyhow i inserted 2 extra pins and have solderd them in place.
Reset the EEPROM and loaded R45 again with no succes, see the result is see in RFLink Loader 1.09:
20;00;Nodo RadioFrequencyLink - RFLink Gateway V1.1 - R45;
10;version;
20;01;VER=1.1;REV=45;BUILD=09;
10;status;
20;02;STATUS;setRF433=ON;setNodoNRF=OFF;setMilight=OFF;setLivingColors=OFF;setAnsluta=OFF;setGPIO=OFF;setBLE=OFF;setMysensors=OFF;
When Log mode On is pressed following:
20;00;Nodo RadioFrequencyLink - RFLink Gateway V1.1 - R45;
10;version;
20;01;VER=1.1;REV=45;BUILD=09;
10;status;
20;02;STATUS;setRF433=ON;setNodoNRF=OFF;setMilight=OFF;setLivingColors=OFF;setAnsluta=OFF;setGPIO=OFF;setBLE=OFF;setMysensors=OFF;
10;rfdebug=on;
20;03;RFDEBUG=ON;
When my Kaku ATMT-502 remote and AWMT-003 remote's used nothing shows up?
What am i doing wrong?
