Interference between Z-Wave and Wi-Fi

My Domoticz server uses a Raspberry Pi B+. Until yesterday, it's always been connected using a LAN cable and I've had not problems accessing it.
To try and resolve other problems (see various posts passim) I decided to move the Pi to a more centrally located location in the house. However that means using Wi-Fi.
I used an approved Pi Foundation dongle and set it up to use the home Wi-Fi. However, when I access the Pi remotely, network performance is rubbish. Wavemon doesn't seem to point to anything (in comparison with another Pi in more or less the same location), but both ssh and http is very juddery.
I'm wondering if there is an interaction between the two adapters; which are right next to each other on the Pi. I did move the Wi-Fi adapter on to a USB extender, but it's made no difference.
Has anybody else seen anything like this?
