Here is a list of my findings

rfxtrx433 & fw67
Domoticz 1.898

Not working:
Prologue YT6981 (Clas Ohlson 36-4741)
TFA Dostmann 30.3133
ESIC WT450 (really poor functionality (Clas Ohlson 36-1797)
Viking Remote Thermo Sensor (Teknikmagasinet 340661)

Working:
Nexus TW003 (Clas Ohlson 36-4441) shows up as "Rubicson/IW008T/TX95"

Hope this was helpful...

3133 works, can confirm. The rfxcom firmware was even improved based on a copy I sent to them to test...

CopyCatz: Are you using Hideki/UPM as System mode for 3133?

I'm using a first batch RaspberryPi as host. USB cable beween rfxtrx433 and raspberrypi has ferrites in both ends. Tried an USB hub with external power source to cut out the interference from RaspberryPi but no luck...

I had incidentally just ordered a couple of the same sensors this morning on chance that they'd work so that's good news!

ESIC WT450 works for me but has poor range (a few meters only).This is a known problem with the WT450.

Hi, I have two 30.3133 working but can find no documentation for their operation. Does anyone know if they can be used without the probe to measure the air temperature?

It appears to work as it provides a measurement but not sure what kind of accuracy I should expect - I don't have anything else at the minute to provide a calibration....

Got my Clas Ohlson 36-4441 sensors but don't see them in Domoticz. When I enable undecoded I do see these messages however:

Tue Aug 6 08:56:29 2013 (RFX) Undecoded RF Message
UNDECODED NEC:24630122F3D0

I've tried enabling most of the protocols (some are not allowed at the same time) but can't see one that reads the sensors.

RFXtrx433 details:
Transceiver type = 433.92MHz
Firmware version = 67
Hardware version = 1.1

Any suggestions please?

Thanks,
Matt

Now seeing these as well:

UNDECODED RUBICSON:2463010DF310

Matt,
What are you using as a host system? A Raspberry Pi?

Hi nyki - yes, sorry forgot to mention that bit. I've just moved the Pi and Rfxcom to a separately powered USB hub just in case but that didn't make a difference.

Could it be that the sensors I got were of a new revision that Rfxcom and/or Domoticz haven't seen yet?

Thanks,
Matt

Update - the sensor is now working after downgrading the RFXCom from firmware 67 to 64 and also enabling the Hideki and X10 protocols. Strange.

Strange indeed. It could be your sensor transmits packets just on the timing limits.

I have tested with version 67 and the Rubicson is received:

Code: Select all

Packettype        = Interface Message
subtype           = Interface Response
Sequence nbr      = 2
response on cmnd = Set Mode
Transceiver type  = 433.92MHz
Firmware version  = 67
Hardware version  = 1.1
Undec             off
X10               enabled
ARC               enabled
AC                enabled
HomeEasy EU       enabled
Meiantech         disabled
Oregon Scientific enabled
ATI               disabled
Visonic           disabled
Mertik            disabled
AD                disabled
Hideki            enabled
La Crosse         enabled
FS20              disabled
ProGuard          disabled
BlindsT0          disabled
BlindsT1          disabled
AE                disabled
RUBiCSON          enabled
FineOffset        disabled
Lighting4         disabled
RSL               disabled
RFU protocol 5    disabled
RFU protocol 6    disabled
------------------------------------------------
0A520A027A0100F1620349
Packettype    = TEMP_HUM
subtype       = TH10 - Rubicson/IW008T/TX95
                channel 1
Sequence nbr  = 2
ID            = 31233
Temperature   = 24,1 °C
Humidity      = 98
Status        = Wet

Battery       = OK

Well one of the two sensors I bought is dead so it's possible the (sort of) working one is marginal too. I might just return them for some Oregons instead. Just received a THGR810 i ordered and it just worked without any fiddling around at all and it also seems much better built. Granted it is three time the price of the Clas Ohlson sensor but I guess somehow you do get what you pay for.

Hi,

Viking Remote Thermo Sensor (Teknikmagasinet 340661)
Is supported by RFXCom since 2 years back.

Type is: Viking
Device is: Viking 02811

Example on addess: Temp7 0x300
Value1 is the temperature

Hope it helps, I would love to have it implemented since I`m using this one myself.

Roy

PS other device in the viking series are
Viking 02038 Weather station
Viking 02035 double thermometer indoor and outdoor (02811)
+ More like rain, wind ++

U can always contact them for information... if needed.

Viking Remote Thermo Sensor (Teknikmagasinet 340661)

This one started working with the new fw version 68

Have not been able to get the 30.311 to work with my receiver...

Bought a pack of Oregon sensors (http://www.clasohlson.com/uk/Oregon-RAR ... on/36-5158) and they all work... Found it cheaper to buy the entire set instead of separate transmitters.

My Imagintronix temperature sensor (showing up in Domoticz as Viking 02035, 02038, TSS320) is giving out what looks like a temperature readout in Fahrenheit, but with a Celsius symbol.

Also, its very sporadic in it's update period. Sometimes, it goes a whole hour without sending out an update (or until Domoticz receives it I suppose).

Right now, it's quite unusable, as it's showing a reading of 62.7 C for my son's bedroom.. Where as his GrowEgg is showing 18 C.

Don't know what to do, as there's nothing I can see to 'reset' or switch the mode. Any ideas?

RFXtrx433E Version Ext2/1020:
  • Prologue/Clas Ohlson Extra Temperature Sensor (Clas Ohlson 36-4744) - Working.
    • Type: Temp
    • SubType: RUBiCSON
  • Prologue/Clas Ohlson Extra Temperature/Humidity Sensor (TW003) (Clas Ohlson 36-4441) - Working.
    • Type: Temp + Humidity
    • SubType: Rubicson/IW008T/TX95
  • Prologue/Clas Ohlson Extra Temperature/Humidity Sensor (TW007) (Clas Ohlson 36-5123) - Not working (both channels tested).
Can't give any information on range or accuracy as I've only just connected and tested them.
