Monitoring Cisco network switch interface status through snmp?

Post by Redguy »

Higuys,

I am trying to have domoticz monitor the interface status on my Cisco network swiches.

These can be read out using snmp.

New on domoticz though, i think i should setup a virtual device that uses the snmp oid for that particular interface? Is this possible in domoticz?

Search for snmp on the wiki. I have a shell script that checks via snmp if the ups connected to my nas is online or offline. So monitoring a cisco managed switch should be possible
