Z-Wave Motorised Blinds

I'm looking to install some new blinds and I would like the ability to control them with Z-Wave. I've been looking at the Fibaro Roller Shutter 2 for the control side of things (Shame there's not a Z-Wave device simula to the SOMA Smart Home Smart Shades). It's the Motor side of things I'm concirned about. I'd like the ability to pick any blind we like and add the motor/controller to it. We are leaning towards roller blinds, but if I can get info on motors for all types of blinds then this woun't restrict our choice.

Can anyone recommend decent blind motors at a reasonable cost?
What is everyone else using?
Any supplier recommendations in UK (North West England)

Also how does everyone hide the wiring?
I'm currently thinking I would sink a back box in the wall with a blank plate over. Have the Module in there and a fly lead going out to the motor.
I would then be able to easily replace a faulty module / motor.

I'm in the process of having a rewire done, so it's an ideal time to install any cables etc.

Thanks.

What about a complete device like https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/move ... des-gadget
The main campaign ended. Seems they are staying a new one (bit more expensive). Or visit teptron site (the build move and movez)

Great spot PVM, thanks. Looks interesting. Has anyone used these? Are they supported in Domoticz?
Slightly uglier than the SOMA device, but are those buttons on the front for controlling the blind?
Might have to try one.

Any other options out there I havnt seen....?

I use fibaro rolling shutter 2 with positioning and I'm quite enthusiastic about...
no problem in wiring, no problem in calibration...
I got 6 for all my windows

This zwave device will be sent to customers in march 2017. They already have a bluetooth version available though. The buttons can be used for manual control and callibration.

@Emme,
I just started off with one Fibaro FGR-222 for my sun-screen, and works fine for "completely open" and "completely closed", but I cannot make it "stop half way". Did you try this? Or is fully-open, fully-closed enough for your application.

Thanks for the feedback,

Wim,

Hello, short update from my side. It works now to have the Fibaro FGR-222 stop "mid-way".
I re-calibrated, and changed the type to "blinds Percentage". The "operational catch" was that for percentage to work I only need to operate the slider, and not the buttons.
So all works now and like Emme I am very pleased with the FGR-222 now. :-)

Are you able now with the 222 to select let's say 25% open, or only open/closed/half?

I'm able to position in %
Of course 50% could NOT mean the blind goes half window... because you have to consider the full movement (I'm in trouble in describing it in English, sorry... but I mean.. once the blind touch the lower border, it still can... 'shrink' ?!.. :P )

Half of the windows for me is more or less 35% for doorwindow and 40 for windows

ciao
M

P.S.
positioning works with TIME and POWER
...calibration process record the TIME the window needs POWER
