Hello,
Does Domoticz support the Nest Protect?
I am unable to find the answer on this forum.
Thanks in advance!

Oh nice! I already knew the Nest Thermostat was compatible.
So, what is the current functionality of the Nest Protect in Domoticz?

No, that's exactly what I'm trying to figure out.
Hopefully someone who has one in Domoticz answers

No fancy stuff
The Nest Protect API is very Limited.. I was hoping that I clould use the Motion sensors... No root hack at this moment (as far as I know)

I can only SEE the Nest Protect in Domoticz after adding them, but it can't be switched from Domoticz, there is no possibility to read the status (home / away) or use the motion detector. Bottom line: you can't do anything with them in Domoticz

It gives an On/Off signal as smoke alarm.
I turn on all the lights for example so people can find their way out.

Yes, but that's a signal the smoke detector SENDS. Wouldn't it be possible to send a signal to the smoke detector to test it, or to use it as an alarm signal or something.
By the way, when the smoke detector sends an alarm signal or when I use the test, no signal is received in Domoticz. So how do you use this on/off signal in your setup?

So? It's fully compatible with Domoticz?
Thanks
