I had similar trouble when I 1st started with espeasy. I found the answer was to flash the esp8266-12E with a blank 4m image to "clean" the memory when trying to re-flash espeasy.
I'm not at my main PC at the moment but I'm sure googling "esp8266 4m blank.bin" will set you on the right path.
