Ikea have just released a new smart lamp lighting collection called "Tråfri" (Tradfri means 'wireless' in Swedish).

According a spokesperson from Ikea this new "Tråfri" series is based on "ZigBee Light Link" (ZLL) protocol standard:

Ikea have not released or announced any internet/ethernet gateway, and only sell simple remotes so far.


Wonder if Domoticz can control these via a ZigBee dongle? If not then hoping for RFLink support in the future:

These "Trådfri" lamps begun to be sold from October 2016 at Ikea in Sweden, Czech Republic, Italy and Belgium.

The "Trådfri" serie will then launch in all other countries in Europe and North America later in April 2017.

I use an old Philips Hue hub and it works great with Domoticz. The down side it i can't set the color.

What do you mean in regards to the "Trådfri" products by Ikea? Ikea have no hub/gateway for these and none of the lightbulbs released in this "Trådfi" collection have color (RGB) LEDs as of yet, as the lights released so far in this series offer white light only.

You mean that you can on/off dimmer those new ikea bulb with a hue bridge v1 (who use zigbee light) ?

Yes I can dimm and turn the lights on and off.
In the latest firmware for the hub it broke the compability but according to Philips they will fix the "bug".

What version of bridge you are using?
And is the bulb showing up in domoticz after add in the hue bridge?

Great thx for this, that not the first device who got compatibility with hue bridge, Orsam zigbee light have to works to !

I have four FLOAT (30*90cm) lamps and a bulb in the Trådlös series. All of them have three different color temperatures (2100K, 2700K, 4000K). The remote you get with the lamps can switch between these. I guess that what the original statement meant.

I've read about the broken compatibility, but according to this link https://9to5mac.com/2015/12/15/philips- ... rty-bulbs/, it's not a bug but something they did on purpose.
Does this mean that if I buy a Philips Hue Bridge 2.0 I will not be able to use it with the TRÅDFRI products?

Any news on this if it will be possible to Control Ikeas Trådfri from Domoticz?

Also intressed in the answer or the possible to use another separat zigbee adapter. But seems that the trådfri led lights only can be connected to one remote at one time

FYI, Ikea have now announced a Motion Sensor Kit, a new Dimmer Remote, as well a a Network Gateway / Hub in their "Tradfri" series ("Trådfri" mean wireless in Swedish), which all use ZLL (ZigBee Light Link) protocol, to be released on the 31st of March 2017 in selected countries around the world.

Now the follow-up question which is if we can get these lightbulbs, remotes, and sensors working in Domoticz with any ZigBee USB adapter/dongle or alternativly if the official Ikea Trådfri Gateway have an open API which Domoticz could jack into.

The official IKEA TRÅDFRI apps is now downloadable on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store in case anyone wants to analyse it.
