RFLink not picking up signals on clean install

Hello all,

Although I'm a new user on this forum I've been a happy domoticz user for over two years now.
My current setup is a raspberry pi 2 with the cheap (XD-FST FS1000A) 433 MHz transmitter connected to its gpio pins.
My setup was based on the blog from weejewel (https://weejewel.tweakblogs.net/blog/86 ... ry-pi.html) and is working fine to control my Elro AB402 and Eurodomest 972080 socket switches. Additionally I've got some Milight bulbs which can be controlled by domoticz via the milight bridge.

After reading about the RFlink project I got excited about its abilities and it seemed far more future proof than my current setup. Especially its ability as a transceiver and the incorporation of a milight module. So I bought the pre-soldered 433 MHz RFlink package from the nodoshop(No solder experience myself).

Because I wanted to startover fresh without the clutter and (inevitable) errors from my past experiments, I decided to install the Domoticz 4834 SD Card image, flash the Arduino with the latest firmware and connect the RFlink to the raspberry. After adding the RFLink gateway USB as hardware (making sure to have selected the right USB port), the RFLink is initialised and ready according to the logs. However when I try to Learn Domoticz a new switch using my Eurodomest remote, no signal is picked up and a timeout message is shown. After multiple tries and re-addition of the rflink hardware device, I decided to update domoticz to the latest beta release. This got me the "Create RFlink devices" button, but still no signal pickup. Manual creating a device via a commando does give a log entry displaying a new device was added. However it is nowhere to be found on the device page (re-caching did not help). Updating and upgrading linux did not help either.

Next I followed the same steps with the older 3530 SD Card image, without success. But I did notice that my switches were not reacting to my remote anymore when the raspberry (and connected RFLink) was powered on. When powered off, the switches react normally again. This leads me to believe the RFLink is constantly sending a signal, causing the signal of my eurodomest remote to be lost in the noise.

However, when I reverted the SD card to a backup of my previous setup (domoticz 3.4834 updated from pre 3530 SD card image), connected the RFLink and added the USB gateway to the hardware section, my eurodomest remote was picked up immediately! Furthermore my eurodomest sockets still react to the remote while the raspberry with RFlink is powered on. But, manually adding a RFLink device grants me the error: "Problem with creating sensor". Updating domoticz to the latest beta did resolve this error. However still no device was added to the device list.

Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to (hopefully) clearly explain the situation and hope that someone knows what's wrong or what I'm missing.

***Update***
I'm now able to add devices on my old setup using rflink gateway. The devices not showing up in the devices tab was because I entered the wrong commands in the "create rflink devices" tab. However the problem with clean installs still remains.

I have the same situation. RFLink with Domotica on PC works fine. Latest Raspbian + domoticz install, no dice. It just times out when trying to add a device. Did you ever manage to figure out what went wrong?

- edit -
Reflashed RFLink and now it works fine. Dunno what was wrong.
