Using Amazon Echo to Control via Broadlink RM Pro

Totally new to IoT so please forgive any foolishness. Just bought an Amazon Echo and I'm pretty impressed. I also bought a Broadlink RM Pro, which I have managed to program using the their 'e-Control' Android App. However, what I would like to do is control the devices from Echo (obvious really )
Up to now, all I've found are solutions that require me to have a dedicated android bridge running all the time. This strikes me as a pain. What I'd like to have is a solution that uses a Linux app as the bridge between Echo and the Broadlink device - so, after a great deal of googling, I'm hoping that Domoticz just might be the solution. Is this the case? If so, how do I set things up?
With many thanks!

- * How to install in Linux
* How to connect to the Broadlink RM Pro?
With many thanks!
