Calculate the amount of heat storaged in a buffertank

I have a buffertank from a solarboiler with several temperaturesensors attached to it.
What would be the best way to calculate the usable heat energy stored in the Buffer? Each sensor stands for a certain amount of hot water, containing a lot of stored energy, ofcourse not all energy is useable as the water needs to be a certain temperature before it is usable.
is this possible with Blockly? only with Lua?
