Swiidinter: received timeout

First of all, I'm totally new to Domoticz, but I've managed to set this up: Domoticz running on Raspberry Pi and I've added a Razberry from Zwave.me (http://razberry.z-wave.me/). I've also already added a virtual device for weather info, following a tutorial online. So I've found my way around Domoticz, but can't say I'm an expert.

I've now bought a Swiidinter (http://www.swiid.com/en/produits.html) and put it between a lamp and the mains. It works when I use it manually, but now I want to add it to Domoticz. But it doesn't seem to work, making me doubt if I'm doing it correctly. Also, I don't really know how to troubleshoot it.

This is what I did (I hope I translated correctly because my interface is in Dutch).

- Go to Settings -> Hardware
- Click Node management
- Choose the first option (add sensor or something like that)
- I get the spinner, and then push the tiny button on my Swiidinter
- The Swiidinter now blinks red and then stays red for two seconds, which should indicate that the pairing succeeded
- In Domoticz however, the spinner remains.

Now, when I go to the log, I see:

2016-09-14 20:02:09.843 New sensors allowed for 5 minutes...
2016-09-14 20:02:09.844 OpenZWave: Node Include command initiated...
2016-09-14 20:02:10.845 OpenZWave: Received timeout notification from HomeID: 3984402067, NodeID: 255 (0xff)

I've tried putting the lamp with the Swiidinter next to my Raspberry with the Zwave module, but it's the same.

What do these lines mean exactly? Also, a timeout after 1 second?

How can I fix this, or investigate it further? It must be possible, as I've seen other posts of people who have successfully set up Swiidinter.

Hi,

First post here for me here.

Have 2x Swiidinter working (do yours make a annoying buzzing sound too?) with Domoticz and a Razberry z-wave interface connected to an RPi3. Am running latest beta version of Domoticz and had no issues to include the two switches when I bought them about a month ago. However I do have similar issues as you. See timeout messages as you. Status feedback from Swiidinter works sometimes and if I send on/off commands from Domoticz it may take several seconds before the device turn on/off.

My zwave setup consists of several Fibaro FGS222, Popp 009303, Fibaro FGWPE and a few others. One FGS222 is in dead state as its not connected to power any atm.

I´m pretty new to Zwave and don´t know where to start debugging this. I can´t see anything that what is apparently wrong in Openzwave control panel. An hints on where to start debugging is appreciated.

Hi, I can't even get the Swiidinter to be included in my Domoticz. How did you do it?

Nothing special at all.

Went to Domoticz (build 5xxx something), Hardware, Zwave Setup and clicked on "Include Node" and next I included the switch as described in its user manual.
It just worked.

sometimes the zwave items need the button pressed multiple times, my smoke sensors include on first press, then press again and more items appear in domoticz etc.. try pressing multiple times..

I eventually bought a Aeotec Z Stick (Gen 5) and tried it with that. That worked immediately. So I'm using that going forward.

I have one of those swiid switches in my domoticz. In my case it took me several tries to get it included. I also had to bring it closer to the zwave antenna for the inclusion.
