Fibaro FGS221 issue - Node not found!

Hi

I have a Fibaro FGS221 controlling the lights in my garden cabin - outside and inside. This has previously worked flawlessly without any issues.

However, for some reason, the outside light works fine and can be controlled and seen by Domoticz no problem, but the inside light just returns an error when I try to do anything with it - "2016-09-05 10:37:08.303 Error: ZWave: Node not found! (NodeID: 11, 0x0b)"

This is one physical device, with two switches. In the Hardware setup on Domoticz it shows as:
011 (0x0b) Cabin lights FIBARO System FGS221 Double Relay Switch 2x1.5kW FIBARO System 0x100a 0x0200 2016-09-05 10:55:14 No
In Devices, the two devices show as:
108 ZWave 00000B02 1 Cabin lights inside Light/Switch Switch On - - 2016-06-19 20:09:14
107 ZWave 00000B01 1 Cabin lights outside Light/Switch Switch Off - - 2016-09-05 10:55:12
When I toggle the outside light, it works fine, and the log file shows:
2016-09-05 11:31:01.282 OpenZWave: Domoticz has send a Switch command! NodeID: 11 (0x0b)
2016-09-05 11:31:01.285 (ZWave) Light/Switch (Cabin lights outside)
When I try the same with the inside light, it fails and the log shows:
2016-09-05 11:31:47.496 User: derek initiated a switch command
2016-09-05 11:31:47.497 Error: ZWave: Node not found! (NodeID: 11, 0x0b)
Any suggestions how I can go about resolving this?

Thanks!! :)

I would exclude/reset/include the device.

I'm trying... For some reason it doesn't want to exclude/reset/include. I've tried excluding from Domoticz and from the controller and nothing seems to happen. I've also tried resetting the module (power cycle and then press button B for 3 secs) - also no change.

Duff module?

After the reset you should be able to include it again.
What kind of zwave stick do yu use? Is it the Aeotec with battery?

Aeon ZStick S2

Doesn't exclusion/inclusion works with the stick disconnected from Domoticz?
I have the old version and often need to shutdown/disconnect/include/restart for including a new device.

I've tried it with the stick removed from Domoticz and held next to the module - the stick seems to work fine, but the module won't exclude/include.

Try resetting the device again.
And then include it with the stick in the hand. Just a single push on the button so it blinks slowly.
Upon inclusion flashing should be faster.

Nope - doesn't seem to be resetting (or at least I can't include it after trying to reset it). Pushing button B does seem to do something as it will switch one of the lights on and off, so it's not the button. But holding it down after a power cycle doesn't seem to do anything.

Holding the B button for 3 seconds should be a reset:
Method II : Reset by holding B button for 3 sec. after connecting mains voltage to the Switch
Altough it isn't specified how much time you have after connecting mains. Do you need to push in the first x seconds or minutes or ... ?

And if you start Domoticz again the device is still in the list with the same node id?

I've tried resetting it again - this time within a few seconds of power cycling the switch and still no joy - it still doesn't seem to reset and still appears as a switch (one working, one not).

The device is still listed in Domoticz with the same node ID too.

I've had a lot of problems joining 2 FGD211's
Domoticz would not recognize them, resetting (b button) would not work.
Eventually the solution was, first in Domoticz in Setup go to Hardware, hit Setup on the AEON USB Z-Wave stick, click on the Gray button "Node Management" and go to "Control Panel" (bottom option).
Now in the Dropdownmenu "Controller" select "Remove Device" and click on the "Go" button.
Next in the FGS211, press the B Button 3 times (like you are joining it), wait for 30 secs.
Now in the Control Panel, click on Cancel to stop the "Remove Device" function.
Power down the FGS211 completely
Now in Control Panel in the Dropdownmenu "Controller" select "Add Device" and click on the "Go" button.
Next Power up the FGS211 (do NOT click the B button) and wait a couple of seconds, in the LOG you should be able to see what's happening and it should be joining again.

That solved it for me with my FGD211's

Thanks - I'll give it a try when I next have half an hours to play with it.

Tried all this and didn't get any messages in the log at all :(

Is there a way to turn on more detailed logging for the zwave control panel?

Fixed it!!

I deleted the OZWcfg*.xml file, rebooted, and now it's working again!

Phew!

Thanks for this thread as I was also struggling. For me, the following worked:
  • Power off the Pi
  • Unplug the Aeon Z-Stick and put it close to the FGS221 (within three metres)
  • Put the Z-Stick into Exclude mode (I was re-using the FGS221)
  • Press the light switch rapidly, until the Z-Stick saw it (may be eight times)
  • Put the Z-Stick into Include mode
  • Press the light switch rapidly, until the Z-Stick saw it (may be eight times)
  • Plug the Z-Stick back in
  • Restart the Pi
It would not have occurred to be to press the switch so many times, without this thread. Thanks!
