Suggestion: Last Seen Status Change for Switches

Post by domore »

I have one MySensors Water Leak Node which has no other functions. The child is defined as S_WATER_LEAK. The node wakes once an hour to check status of the digital input pin and reports on the pin status. I have not found a way to have the Last Seen status of the Switch Device in Domoticz show that the node is still checking in and running properly. If there is a pin status change from TRUE/FALSE or FALSE/TRUE, then the Last Seen is updated, otherwise, no communication is shown either in the log or in the Switch Device.

As a workaround, I have created a Fake Temperature child in the same communication loop which updates a Temperature Device when the node wakes and communicates. This serves as my node watchdog. I can see by the Last Seen status that the node is working properly.

Is it possible to have Switch Devices show the last communication from the node same as a Temperature Device does?
