If I create a scene where I turn light 1 on and turn light2 off, can I invert the actions in any simple way?

So if I when the scene "exits" it flips the light back to the way there was before?

no you cannot.
Scenes can only set "On" (see https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Domoticz_ ... _on_or_off).

BUT, you can create another scene, that is the "countrary" of the first. So you have 2 scenes , sceneActivate and sceneUnactivate, that you can set On whenever needed.

I think so, you can try, maybe with a "pseudo" (virtual) switch ?
