Resolved: Problem with Louvolite via Domoticz - works via RFXmngr

Hi,

Having some difficulties adding a Louvolite blind.

RFXCom433e with 1005 firmwares. I have to install the Type2 firmware in order to sniff the protocol, this shows up as
BLINDS1 - Safy/Hasta New/RollerTrol
ID2-3 is A2A6
Unit ID is 1

From RFXMngr in Windows it works fully, open, stop and close.

If I then flash the firmware back to EXT2 (required to enable communication with some other Somfy RTS controllers), it still works fine in Windows via RFXmngr, since I now know the codes.

When I try to add this device in Domoticz, as a manual switch, BLINDS0 or BLINDS1 are not available options. I have tried it with BOTH ext2 and Type2 firmwares on the RFXCom, with reboots in between.

Any advice or help greatly appreciated, it's SO close to working, but fallen at the final hurdle!

Thanks in advance.

Here is the output from RFXmngr

Down (Close) - Stop - Up (Open) commands sent from the handset on channel 1

------------------------------------------------
Packettype = BLINDS1
subtype = Safy / RollerTrol / Hasta new
Sequence nbr = 4
id2-3 = A2A6
Unit = 1
Command = Close
Signal level = 8 -56dBm
------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------
Packettype = BLINDS1
subtype = Safy / RollerTrol / Hasta new
Sequence nbr = 5
id2-3 = A2A6
Unit = 1
Command = Stop
Signal level = 8 -56dBm
------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------
Packettype = BLINDS1
subtype = Safy / RollerTrol / Hasta new
Sequence nbr = 6
id2-3 = A2A6
Unit = 1
Command = Open
Signal level = 7 -64dBm

RESOLVED: Problem with Louvolite via Domoticz - works via RFXmngr

This is now fixed, and the Louvolite One-Touch blind is working very well from Domoticz, including Timers although they are somewhat confusing for blinds. More on that later.

The solution was as follows:

1) Shutdown Domoticz and disconnect the RFXCom
2) Connect RFXCom to a windows PC
3) Using RFXFlash, updated to Firmware 1005-type2
4) Enabled the protocols and checked blind handset signal was being received (showing as above, BLINDS1)
5) Reconnect to pi and boot up Domoticz
6) Enable "BLINDS0" and NOT BLINDS1 (as you'd expected from the debug output)
7) In Domoticz, go to Devices and press Up, Stop, Down - you should see the commands appearing against a new device now
8) Add this device, and check it works from Domoticz.

Repeat 1-3, this time reverting it back to the 1005-EXT2 Firmware (for the Extended set)
Reconnect and boot Domoticz again, bingo - it will still talk to the blinds (since ALL transmitting frequencies are always enabled), but will also talk to the Somfy RTS motors and Lightwave - note that Somfy requires the EXT2 firmware, and will not work with the straight Type2 firmware.

A note on the blinds - When creating a timer, it only shows On and Off - not Open/Close or Up/Down.
On = Down/Close and Off = Up/Open in case anyone else is wondering!
