New IHC Plugin, Dimmer question

Hi all,

I'm currently writing a new hardware plugin for the LK/Schneiders IHC system. Everything seems to work fine now, and I'm refining the last bits and pieces.
I have a question though.
What is the expected behavior of a dimmer switch when the "Turn On" button is clicked? Is it supposed to turn on, on full brightness? Or is it supposed to turn on, to the level it had when it was turned off?

Thanks,

BR Jonas

Its turning on with the current level of the slider.

Nice with IHC, pm me if you want a tester.

Hi Jonas,

I'm very excited to read about your IHC plugin. I'm also ready if you need more testing.

It would be nice when you turn the dimmer on by using the lights icon, left of the slider, it turns on at a predefined procentage/level. Or even better have a option to select between predefined level or last used level.

Hi Søren,

thats great! I just got back from vacation, so I need to get up to speed on different things, but will continue the development soon. Can you give some details on your IHC setup (maybe in a private message)? What kind of devices do you have? I, personally, only have wireless modules, so it would be great to test the plugin on wired devices as well.

Hi Jonas,

Sounds good. :)

Most of my IHC are wired. Inputs, Outputs, Controller. For dimmers I do use Wireless modules.

Currently I'm using openHAB and IHC Captainto keep Domiticz updated. IHC Captain to get the state of the IHC devices into Domoticz. OpenHAB so I can manipulate the state of the IHC devices from within Domoticz using dummy hardware and devices.

Hi,

I would also like to test your plugin for IHC. I am only using wireless products.

For my installation i have configured the IHC controller to a specific level, e.g. 40%, when a dimmer is turned on from an IHC device. But i also use the IHC Remote app were i turn on the light by moving the slider to the desired level.

Hi,

Are you planning to use IHC controller? I think connect it to a "arduino controller" would be pretty simple using ArduinoIHC library http://dingus.dk/arduinoihc/ and connect it to usb-port.

Hi,

no I don't want to put ekstra software in the IHC controller, so the only way is to use the SOAP interface.
I'm currently rewriting the plugin because of some licensing issues.

Hello Janne,
it sort of works. Some people from the danish IHC forum are currently testing the plugin.
