Energy Devices Types: usage and return??

Post by juankar »

In Energy Device edit I see a combo list for types and there are two values: usage and return,
I suppose Usage is for meter usage (watt and kwh) , but whish is the meaning of Return type?
thanks

If the electronic energymeter is installed according to it's user manual, the normal definition is:
'Usage' = power/energy taken from the grid (to feed consuming devices)
'Return' = power/energy sent to the grid (e.g. from a PV-system as production-facility)
Both are expressed in W and kWh. The difference is the direction of flow.
Set1 = RPI-Zero+RFXCom433+S0PCM+Shield for BMP180/DS18B20/RS485+DDS238-1ZNs
Set2 = RPI-3A++RFLinkGTW+ESP8266s+PWS_WS7000
Common = KAKUs+3*PVLogger+PWS_TFA_Nexus
plus series of 'satellites' for dedicated interfacing, monitoring & control.
