Error: Harmony Hub: Cannot connect to Harmony Hub

Hi,
I recently bought a Logitech Harmony Ultimate Hub at Bol.com for 59 Euro.

What I've done so far:
- I added it to Logitech site
- I added it to Domoticz by following the Wiki pages, but no luck. I get: Error: Harmony Hub: Cannot connect to Harmony Hub.

What I already tried:
- Change it to a simple password (Both at Logitech and Domoticz ofcourse :-)
- Tried both internal and external IP-adresses for the Harmony Hub.
- Added portforwarding on port 5222 on the modem/router
- Clicked on 'allow new hardware for 5 minutes'
- Click on 'Update' device so the worker restarts/retries

Can someone shine a light please?
Thanks in advance!

Update:
The solution was simple:
I thought I had assigned a fixed IP-address to the Harmony Hub, but somehow it got a (different) DHCP-address so I was looking for the wrong address.
I configured Domoticz with the right IP-address and now it works.

I hope I can assign a fixed IP-address to the Harmony Hub again.

EDIT:
Within Domoticz I see a new device with the name 'Poweroff".
Is this expected behaviour?
Txs!

Yep, depending of the state the hub is in, you can switch everything off

@Jannl:
Thanks. I just added the device.

I have another question:
Can a fixed IP-address be set within the Hub itself? Or do I have to set this in the modem/router?
Txs

No I don't think so. But the advantage is that after a factory reset of the hub it still gets the same ip address.

Hi all,

I have a similar problem. The Harmony hub connection gets lost very frequently. I have a dedicated IP (assigned from my DHCP router) based on the mac address of the Harmony. It looks like the connection to the hub from time to time gets dropped somewhere. The side effect is an instable Domoticz. The service stops regularly. This looks like related to controlling the hub. I must say that I programmed some LUA scripts for controlling the hub, but the error clearly states: Error: Harmony Hub: Cannot connect to Harmony Hub.

All suggestions are welcome.

Thx

Ralph
