Gpis switch input

Hi guys and gals,

I was wondering if someone could tell me exactly how to configure a hardwired two lead (0/1) switch that I have connected to Rpi pin 8. I want to use this switch to indicate if my garage door is open or closed. When I run "Gpio exports", there is a 0 or 1 difference when the switch is open or close, but this does not reflect the respective "Contact" within Domoticz.
