Making a Switch

Good Morning,

I hope I am making this post in the correct forum. I searched around for something more fitting but wasn't able to find one.

It is my hope that I can get some general advice or guidance. I have been automating my house for a few years now and until now have used another software built for OS X. My current setup consists largely of Z wave connected switches, Aeotec & Fibaro Motions Sensors and Schlag locks as well as Hue bulbs in a few rooms. When I switch I will be setting up on a dedicated Mac Mini running OS X 10.10.X. Will I need to exclude all my Zwave devices prior to setting up in Domoticz? I use a Aeotec Zwave Stick.

Is there any advice anyone can give me on making this transition as painless as possible?

A more complete list of my devices are:

GE Zwave Switches and Dimmers in all rooms
Aeotec Gen 5 Motion Sensors
Fibaro Motion Sensors
2Gig CT-100 Thermostats
First Alert CO2 Smoke Combo Detectors
Fibaro Flood Sensor
Aeotec Doorbell
Hue Hub (1st Gen)
Schlag Locks BE-469NX
Linear Garage Door Opener (Lowes Iris One)
Aeotec Energy Meter (2Clamp)

Some other devices I would like to control include:

Sony TV's
Samsung TV's
Sony Home Theater Receivers

I also currently run a Plex Server which I use various clients like Roku and Apple TV to monitor the states to dim lights.

No, as your configuration is stored on the Aeotec ZWave Stick.
You might have to wake up all your sensors once, specially the battery operated sensors, to let it send the node information frame.
It is same to switch between both software as well, so try it out....
