[suggestion][poll] High resolution DC LED Dimmer with 8bit or 16bit steps,
Posted: Friday 13 May 2016 14:17
My platform: Raspberry pi 1B
My gateway: Mysensors serial gateway
My dimmers: Mysensors Dimmable LED dimmer, or a custom variant.
The current AC Dimmer is a low resolution dimmer and from what I can tell, one that conforms perfectly with standard dimmer modules they have 16 possible dimmer values.
In my home I use LED's powered by a 12V or 24V DC power supply. This means that I can very easily dim them in 255 or 1024 steps if I use a custom controller. (like the mysensors) It does require that Domotic gives a value.
The reason I want this: LED's show a significant change in intensity on the first 100 steps (on a scale from o to 255). It ain't lineair.
I've searched the forum and found two other topics with the same request.

Did a lot of editing on this question. The poll is new and my specifications.
