Hi

Which water valve do you recommend that works with RFLink? I just want open and close a tap at certain times of the day.

Thanks

You could create a relay module from MySensors.org http://www.mysensors.org/build/relay attaching a NRF24L01 radio to the relay module http://www.mysensors.org/build/connect_radio and used Bloky in Domoticz to control the logic.
something like this valve - http://www.amazon.com/Adafruit-B8-OBDH- ... r+selinoid
or a normal sprinkler valve like this http://www.amazon.com/Orbit-57100-4-Inc ... r+selinoid.

You should look at valves from Rain Bird. They are very solid.

In my poly tunnel I use 4 of these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Thermal-Actua ... SwRLZT12yD sitting on 4 cheap TRV bodies on a home made manifold so that I can deliver water to sprinkler hoses.

I previously used the washing machine type solenoid valves which although "instant on/off" got VERY hot and not very reliable.

These new ones take 30 to 60 secs to open or close (not a problem for irrigation) but stay cool and cam be quickly replaced with a screw cap for manual override if necessary.

Hello,
I use a couple of Rain Bird 100HVMM valves. They work under 24volts AC, so you also need a transformer/adapter. And any RFXCOM (or ZWAVE) wall plug to turn power on and off.

Hi Oliviers,

I have a question about the schematic wire connection of the 24volts AC.
Do you have one transformator/adapter for more water valve's? in other words, can i use one transformator for 4 water valve's?

I would like to switch on and off the water valve's seperatly with one transformator.

Thank you for advice.

Kind Regards.
Jurgen

Hello,
Of course this is possible. But then you need to insert four "dry contact" relay modules between the transformer and your four valves, instead of just one wall switch module between the power outlet and the transformer. Modules such as Fibaro FIB_FGS-223, for example.

Hi Oliviers,

Thank you, i will try that.

I'm not sure which device i will use for swithing the power on/off, i can use zwave with zwave relay modules or using a wired relay bord like.

But thanks anyway!
