OpenZWave Stats returns blank doc (But 200 OK)

Does anyone know the history of this? Looking on github the routine tied to the URI (/ozwcp/statpost.html) has been commented out. So an empty XML document is returned with a 200 OK. That then generates a silent javascript error on the browser and a blank stats display.
The comments suggest the code was causing a crash... Anyone know why? Or where?
