Which combi heating control?

Hi
I've got Domoticz working great for lighting and now want to move on to managing my central heating.
I was thinking of starting with a single zone using existing TRVs and just replacing the thermostat and programmer/timer.
I'd like the ability to be able to set the desired temperature via Domoticz, read the current temperature, and also to be able to control when the heating is on/off from domoticz too.
Any recommendations/suggestions as to what thermostat and controller to use? I have a standard Combi boiler with, at present, a British Gas 7-day timer and wireless thermostat, but these aren't Z-Wave.

Thanks

Hiya,

If you think of your controller as 2 on off switches (HW & CH) with time control... I found it a short step to the fibaro dual relay and use domotics internal switch timers. That gave me control of the boiler, then you need some temp sensor to use as a virtual stat. I have 2 fibaro binary sensors in use, 1 checks my cyl temp (you wont need this) and another checks my boiler flow and return.

From there I tried and failed with StellaZ tvrs and a few others + stats... all crap. Then I discovered ELV Max! and life changed :D

have a (long) read of this viewtopic.php?f=34&t=841 and you'll see there's a way to go but it works great for me. Initially all you'd need is a cube and a stat. Each month I add a stat and a trv as I roll it out through the house.

Hope this helps
