Interpreting Fibaro RGBW ID's & Units?

Post by hamish »

:?

Does anyone know how to interpret the Fibaro RGBW (FGRBWM-441) id's to map them to something sane?

Ideally I'd expect a main on/off, dimmer for RGBW (4x) and from looking at various images (No docs that I've found) an overall brightness... Plus the monitoring Power (Per channel according to at least one FIbaro doc) & an (overall?) Meter.

However... I seem to have an extra dimmer, an extra on/off switch and various power readings/meters that may or may not do anything depending on which way the wind blows. Some of the switches affect the dimmers (e.g. one imaginatively numbered ID564/Unit 1) often does nothing, sometimes randomly sets the RGB channels to random levels.

Anyone have any ideas? OpenZWave is like a chocolate teapot at times.I either get endless screeds of info for the RGBW device in the logs, or nothing. And if I had a pond for overtime OZW marked it 'Dead' and needed a soft-reset to (usually) bring it back to life, I'd be a rich man. The often 3-5 minute lag between commands and action are starting to wear me thin too... Sometimes it's instant. Sometimes not... Seems to make its own mind up about that. The logs are wordy enough to make me discount a real comms problem, but RTT goes well over 1000ms at times. And lots of messages about dropping commands due to lack of response etc.

More than likely me just not understanding what this is trying to do, but the lack of details in the info that I can find isn't helping.

Running the latest stable Domoticz image for the R-Pi on a RazBerry controller and R-Pi-2 B.

Hello Hamish,

I explained some of your questions in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=10905

What the The ID's mean depends on your configuration of Option 14.
