Hello all,

i'm really new in the linux world so i hope i will be able to find some help here :)

i'm trying to install the raspberry image from the SD cardon a PI3 with a GPIO zwave module :

Image

the thing is it appears that PI3 and new bluetooth and wifi module is causing issues ... as per this topic :
http://forum.z-wave.me/viewtopic.php?f=3422&t=22957

let me know if my logic is good in what i want :

- download domoticz SD card + isntall it on micro sd card
- do the basic setup
-install openzwave if not already in the image
- setup the zwave GPIO module to work as an USB device using this tutorial: http://www.vesternet.com/resources/appl ... veekdDl-2k
- go in domoticz and set the zwave as openzwave usb

but i don't think it works ...did someone got the PI3 + my zwave module up and running ?

do i have to install the Zwave server ?
also my zwave module is in firmware 2.2.1

please let me know what i should do to have everything working.

thx by advance.

Cant help you all the way..but.

You are mixing things up.

First you talk about Domoticz and then you seems to be on Zwave server 2.2.1 (Z-wave.me), you do not need z-wave server. 2.2.1 is not the firmware version on the module its the version of the server software. Firmware should be 5.0 to 5.0.4. Check this thread: http://forum.z-wave.me/viewtopic.php?f=3422&t=22361

If you want to use Domoticz you have to forget about z.wave.me. If you want to update the firmware you have to use Z.wave server as far as i know- but it a bit tricky and some fail while upgrading.

Set up domoticz as the wiki suggests: https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Domoticz_ ... i_SD_Image

On rpi3 you probably want to do "rpi-update" to upgrade the rpi firmware.

Hello Nukie,

yes i might be mixing things ... i did some ditro test the last 2 days

1- raspian + zway server + domoticz

2 - raspian + domticz + openzwave

now - domticz sd card and waiting for help :)

you are saying i can't use and i have to forget my zwave GPIO module to use domoticz ? i saw a a bunch of install with domoticz and the zwave module i bought. so do you mean i can sell the module i bought and buy a usb stick instead ?

I followed the wiki page for install but not much to do from SD card :)

right now i'm doing the RPI update.

No, your z-wave modul will work fine once you set ít up. Im using RPi2 (with the same modul as you) so i cant help you with RPi3. You should use the "jessie" image - but i guess you are if you followed the wiki. I have domoticz running without problems on my RPi3 - but without additional hardware.

Look at this thread - it might help: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=10964

ps. What i ment with "forget" was the software "z-wave server" from Z-wave.me. ds

hey,

Thx for the reply ;)

i know domoticz run fine on the pi3 but the major difference between the pi3 and the pi2 is the bluetooth and wifi integration .... which break the zwave module and it can't run like this ..

i will check your link and i will also go on the zwave forum as they are working on a workaround.
