Database conversion to latest Domoticz version
Hallo,
I am Andreas and using the Domoticz version 1.0.10. on a Raspberry Pi since a long time without any problems. To update the system I would like to install now the newest version of Domoticz.
My question is:
Is it possible to convert the old database including my settings and all information about switches, blinds,... to the database of the latest Domoticz version or did I have to input all old information manually.
Thank you for your support
Andreas

Re: Database conversion to latest Domoticz version
Thank you for your quick reply.
The old version has no update function in the menu, so I have to install the new version but copying the old database (domoticz.db) to the new version does not show any settings.

Re: Database conversion to latest Domoticz version
The database will be automatically converted to the latest
But make sure you make a complete backup of the domoticz folder so you can always go back

Re: Database conversion to latest Domoticz version
Sorry but this fails. It seems that it overwrites the database and when the program starts it will only show the setup menu.
