There are actually many more setup options on the normal device pages than there are in device setup. The device pages have edit settings (depending on device type, there are a lot of options in here), timers, and notifications. The device setup page has toggle used/unused, rename, and delete. In addition, the device setup page allows viewing the signal and battery levels that a user is likely to want to see regularly (battery level on device pages pop up in the suggestion forum occasionally, and yes I am aware the color of a card changes to indicate low battery - this is a poor substitute for an actual level if the device reports more than good/bad states).
I would like to get feedback on moving edit, timers, and notifications to device configuration. This would free up space on the device page, making it less cluttered, more touch friendly, and easier to add more useful things like signal/battery level indicators. The device configuration page already has an edit icon which would edit more than just the name, and two more icons for timers and notifications. In addition, the manual and learn light switch buttons would move as well.
Here is a mockup of what the switch and device setup pages might look with these changes:

Re: Move edit, timers, and notifications to device configuration
Looks like a good idea. If these things are available in the device-overview, I especially would like to be able to sort/filter all my devices to show which ones have timers/notifications and whether these are actually active or not.
In addition to that it would be great to have separate overview page to manage and see all the timer schedules.
