433Mhz USB Alternative?

Post by Thies »

Hi Guys,

I was looking into a cheaper alternative then the RFXCOM (100 euro's), this would make it even more main stream. I found the following USB adapter, is this compatible or can we make it compatible? What are you ideas about this?

Nope, that will not work as it is using GFSK modulation while most of the signals are ASK.
Did you check out the RFLink? You can build that for a few euros and it supports a lot of protocols.

All you need is an Arduino Mega and a decent RF receiver & transmitter..
You could score the hardware for ~10 euros already.. or spend a bit more if you order locally
