Hey Nick,
Quick question: hadn't used google home on my phone for a while and gave it a whirl yesterday. Weirdly, whilst knowing all my devices, none of them seem to work anymore. All I get is "there was an error and I am unable to control your home device".
Did anything change? How can I restart?
Cheers,
H

For people having problems with temperature sensors where the google assistant sees always the "thermostat is off", I think its because GA does not support sensors yet:

https://support.google.com/googlehome/a ... 8?hl=en-CA

The only supported devices that reports temperature are thermostats in fact.

So if a sensor is declared in Domoticz that does not have commands to be a thermostat for GA, the later sees it as offline.

I dont know how to trick Google Assistant to see the sensor as an active thermostat to avoid the boring message in Controlicz/Domoticz but right now, I think that temperature and other sensors are not supported natively.

yes that is exactly why GA report OFF.

I didn't manage yet.
Weirdly, my temp sensor AND my thermostat are both seen as temp sensors by GA...
The thermostat is in domoticz's 'Mesures' tab whereas the temp sensor is in the 'Temperature' tab.
So I can ask for the temperature on the thermostat but I can't set the wished temperature.

Hi -
so you're right, it's treating them all as sensors - if Domoticz provided the 'mode' of the thermostat, then i could probably make this go away - Off doesn't mean it's not 'online' but that it doesn't know if it's on. If that makes sense!

https://github.com/actions-on-google/ac ... /issues/74

Re: Selector switches - they are ready from the Controlicz side - the code is there - however Google have decided to make the Mode trait basically useless - they have hardcoded the Mode names *and the levels* - so until they relax that, we can't use them.

Re: Not being able to set the wished temp - that doesn't sound right, I think i've got your email address, but if not, can you PM it, and i'll see what it's doing wrong

Ok. Thanks for the explanations. It makes sense. So the ball is on Google's side....
When I'm saying that I'm not able do set the wished temp, I mean that I haven't found a command yet in GA that enables me to set the thermostat. I've tried alot of commands and he never understands that I want to set the thermostat... :?
I'll send you my email address in PM.
I have another question : do you know if there is (or will be) a way to make GA understand that he his actioning shutters and not lights ?
Today, my shutters are controled in Domoticz by a Qubino zwave device that is recognized by domoticz as a dimmer. So in GA, it's considered as a light.
When I say "Ouvre 'volet du salon'", GA answers "Ok, I'm turning on the light 'volet du salon'". I don't know if GA makes a difference today between shutters and lights. If so, it would be good to have in Controlicz a way to say that a given switch is a shutter and not a light.

I use "Set the <device> to 22" - you can now also use:
"Turn up the <device>", or "Turn down the <device>"

:)

They may add it, currently the types are limited to switches and lights (for on/off types)

yes many thanks for your details. And regarding selector. Where can I send an email or feedback to push this idea ? do you know ?

do you have the same limitation with alexa ?

Hi -
here's the issue:
https://github.com/actions-on-google/ac ... /issues/75

Alexa is 'the same' - in that there's no obvious method for handling multiple levels per switch. I'll have another look - i've not looked at the Alexa api docs for a couple of months - the only thing i've got in mind is treating selector switches as 'Entertainment' Input controllers (usually TV:HDMI1/HDMI2 etc) - that *might* work..

I'll translate the last part :
I've got a strange behavior with GA. If I say "set the Thermostat consigne to 20°" or "set the thermostat consigne to 19°" it works fine. But if I say "set the Thermostat consigne to 19,5°" it triggers a search. I tried to say "virgule" (comma) or "point", but it always triggers a search...

Thanks for the translation - i can read French quite well, but speak it less well - I worked in Geneva for a little while, but that was..a little while ago!

Can you try typing it? I wonder if it's not liking the , - I know it should, as that's the european decimal, but can you try 19.5 instead?

Also, humidity now works :) "What is the humidity of <device>"

Hello again, thanks for adding my mail.

I have a little question, I try to add [test]Home Controlicz in GA on my phone, everything seems to be good, it ask me to allow google to access to my account, i click on allow. After that, i'm me to the room manager wher i can't do anything and then i'm autoredirect to GA devices where I can't find Controlicz.
Is there a step I am missing ?
