I thought if i can ask alexa for the temperature, it is already included.
Then i have to wait for the release in DE.

you can, i'm guessing that your echo default language not English? Think it must do some weird translation between what the skill receives (and asks for), and what the Alexa translates it into

the skill from controlicz/madgeni has a devUS stamp.
All what should be discovered is discovered.
All my devices can be controlled.
All my scenes can be controlled.
All my groups can be controlled, but I receive an error: "xxx is not responding"
I can set my thermostat
I cannot query for temperature devices: "xxx is not responding"
I guess that covers all.
keep up the good work

Thanks Qwerk - is that using Controlicz, or the original you host yourself?

i'm afraid it's limited to the languages Alexa supports - which currently are English (US/UK) and German

All -
I am pleased to announce that Controlicz - the fully native Alexa skill is now live!
To use it, register with
www.controlicz.com, then enable the skill within Alexa, and link it to your controlicz account, and you're good to go.

Thank you for your job, Madgeni!
Can i use this skill in german language? My alexa account is registered in Germany and I can't find skill in App, in "All skills".

Dont know if I'm being dumb here, but i've just seen this through the Alexa app and have not used it before. I've created my account on controlicz.com, and can log in fine there. On adding the controlicz skill with the alexa app, my login credentials dont work. Do i need to do anything else?

Hi pudding - i'm sure you're not being dumb
I have put the skill back through certification for German language - so it's possible that's causing the issue. Hopefully they'll turn it around quickly.

i've just retested it, and it's still working as expected, so not sure what the issue is - one thing missing from the Controlicz site is the ability to reset passwords - i'm waiting for AWS to get their arses in gear and verify my SES DNS record - as soon as that's done, i'll implement it.
For now, if you give me your email addy in PM, i can delete the record in the backend - I can't see any of your other details, they're all encrypted

@madgeni,
I'm also having trouble...
I have registered and can login on controlicz.com.
I have opened the port on my router and the domoticz uid/pwd on controlicz matches one I have set up in domoticz.
When I use the alexa website to discover devices, I see 3 of these in my domoticz log:
Code: Select all
Incoming Domoticz connection from: 35.176.67.167
I see that that is the IP of controlicz.com
But no devices are detected. As instructed, my devices are in room plans.
Can you see from your end whether controlicz can/can't access my domoticz devices? Or is the problem between alexa and controlicz?
Really looking forward to getting this working!
Thanks for any help you can give.

hi @danpep - just troubleshooting this, it seems to be timing out on your end. Are you able to access your domoticz via your external DNS name:port IP:Port ok?
Out of interest, how many devices do you have?

@Madgeni,
Should have tried that first. I changed my port mapping and made sure it is working but the problem persists.
I have about 30 devices across about 14 "rooms". Some devices are in multiple "rooms". Could that be the issue?

shouldn't be - are you using https within domoticz?
Can you access it externally with https?

@madgeni,
I'm not using https. Is that required? If so I'll try to figure that out.
Thanks for the quick replies!
