I thought I had the same problem, could not set the temperature of no more than two rooms.
It still looks like it but i have discovered that there is a twist. (program mistake?) As an example, when I change the manual setpoint from Domoticz of the bedroom, the setpoint of the living room changes, the setpoint of the bedroom remains at the old value. It seems read only but in the background a completely different / wrong room changes.
Someone who has this, or even better is there a solution?
re-adding the hardware does not solve anything
Exact same issue here, I noticed that in the "Devices" section of Domoticz, the setpoint which are inverted share almost the same "ID".
My bedroom has ID 000002E and my kitchen ID 0000002.
Not sure if it is linked to the issue but that's the only thing I see that could explain this behaviour.
Sadly, I cannot keep using the plugin due to this error and based on the thread activity, it seems that it is not maintained anymore
I have the exact same issue now I use multiple zones with Tado.
This issue is now fixed in the beta version of Domoticz. You can either update to the beta version or wait for the next stable release.

I've got two questions:
My first question:
Is it possible to make a switch in domoticz with change the home/away setting in Tado? (and how do i do that?)
My second question is more an issue.
I'm getting a lot of errors last two weeks. Error: Tado: Failed to perform GET request to Tado Api: ; Response headers: HTTP/1.1 6 Couldn't resolve host name
I have tried to analyse this error, and have changed my dns settings in my synology my first dns server is my router, and the alternative one is 8.8.8.8. It's feels like that solves the issue, but still get these errors in my mail

Its fixed in stable now, and it works.
I had to remove the tado hardware and add it again to make it work properly.

From what I've seen, the following 'Weather_State' can be returned (not sure if this is complete):
night_clear, night_cloudy, cloudy, cloudy_mostly, cloudy_partly, foggy, drizzle, scattered_rain, rain, snow, thunderstorms, sun, windy,
These are the values I've logged over several years. It's a slightly longer list (no "s" on thunderstorm):
CLOUDY
CLOUDY_MOSTLY
CLOUDY_PARTLY
DRIZZLE
FOGGY
NIGHT_CLEAR
NIGHT_CLOUDY
RAIN
RAIN_SNOW
SCATTERED_RAIN
SCATTERED_RAIN_SNOW
SCATTERED_SNOW
SNOW
SUN
THUNDERSTORM
WINDY

Hello, I was thinking of buying this thermostat to control an air conditioner and be able to change settings or turn it off or on from home automation. Is this plugin working? Is it possible to do what I mentioned above?
Thanks in advance

If you want to control an air conditioner with Domoticz you need an AC that is compatible with Domoticz. Then you only need a temperature sensor to let Domoticz control the AC. But normally the AC can control itself based on temperature as they have there own thermostat.

The tado thermostat is capable of sending orders to any air conditioner that has an infrared remote control whose screen allows adjustments of temperature, Fan, Mode, etc. That's why I was asking, since I can incorporate this thermostat into Domoticz and through it control the air conditioning depending on other Domoticz events. Before making the purchase of the thermostat, I asked if this plugin is working or its maintenance has been abandoned.

Ah, Ok. I looked at it and it seems to be a different product than the Tado for heating. So good you are asking, unfortunately I cannot give the answer.

Hi guys,
I recently installed Domoticz after my solar panels were installed.
Now I tried to connect my Tado thermostat to Domoticz, but it isn’t working. I’m only receiving the following:
Code: Select all
2022-10-02 12:07:13.318 Status: Tado: Worker started. Will poll every 30 seconds.
2022-10-02 12:07:18.319 Tado: Attempting login.
2022-10-02 12:07:18.917 Status: Tado: Retrieved webapp environment from API.
2022-10-02 12:07:19.428 Error: Tado: Received token is zero length.
I triple checked my login credentials with the tado website, and they are correct as I’m using a password manager. I tried it manually too. All to no avail. What’s going on here?

Has this problem been resolved? I have the same problem since 24-07-2022 at 06:30. This is certainly not a time I would consider updating my system, so the problem must have been caused by either Domoticz or Tado. I used to get regular data up to that moment.

Hello,
I have a Tado Wireless thermostat set which is wired to the internet, and works (incl. Smartphone and Tablet) without any problems.
I have linked the thermostat set as hardware in Domoticz environment in Docker.
Now after a few months of working without error messages, the following error messages have appeared in Domoticz since last Thursday 03-11-2022 15.15 hours, the thermostat in Domoticz has also stopped working since then.
2022-11-03 15:34:45.001 Status: Tado: Worker started. Will poll every 30 seconds.
2022-11-03 15:34:50.390 Status: Tado: Retrieved webapp environment from API.
2022-11-03 15:35:20.297 Error: Tado: Received token is zero length.
2022-11-03 15:35:50.746 Error: Tado: Received token is zero length.
2022-11-03 15:36:21.216 Error: Tado: Received token is zero length.
2022-11-03 15:36:51.655 Error: Tado: Received token is zero length.
I restarted the hardware in Domoticz that afternoon, but that doesn't give a solution so far.
Contact with Tado also does not provide a solution.
In an OpenHab environment in Docker that I temporarily set up, the Tado plugin (Binding/Thing) does work.
I use a password manager so it won't be due to incorrect credentials input.
I have already removed the Tado hardware in Domoticz, restarted Domoticz and added the Tado hardware again, unfortunately that also does not help and the error message comes up "Error: Tado: Received token is zero length." every 30 seconds.
Anyone have a solution for the Tado problem?
Thanks in advance.

update:
To be sure that the error is not with Tado, but according to me it is in Domoticz, I also set up HomeAssistant in Docker.
Also with this I was able to connect and operate my Tado Thermostat without any problems.
So the 'token' problem must have arisen somewhere last week in Domoticz, because before last Thursday the problem was not there.
Please help, TIA

after updating Domoticz the error exists.

I solved my Tado problem.
In the Tado app I invited myself with a different email address and thus added myself as a Tado user at the same address.
With the credentials of this 'new' Tado user in Domoticz, all data is returned without errors.
The reported Token/API problem is indeed with Tado.

I had the same problem,
Registering a different user and refresh credentials did the trick, now all is working again and showing back up.
Thank you

I understand development has stalled since
@dotms left?
viewtopic.php?p=202558#p202558
BTW
The Tado app and my.tado.com is sufficient for daily use.
What makes this plugin special is that one can see the activity % in each room.
Is the boiler heating yes or no.

It is hard to change a plugin without the hardware.
But there were some functional changes by others 2 years ago (next to a lot of general source code cleanup):

I wanted to share that the complexity of a password, for example generated by LastPass, can negate its acceptance in Domoticz. The 'no length' error remains. By removing the special character it worked immediately.
The only problem I have is that my zones doesn't get a setpoint item created.

Wauw!
That did it!
Thank you so much for sharing this password 'secret'.
The one reason I like to use this Tado plugin is because it shows me the heating power in every room.
Setting a temperate is kind of tricky. One doesn't know exactly how it reacts.

Domoticz doens't seem to notice I have installed an extra Tado thermostat. It's not listed under 'Hardware' or 'devices' yet.
