What is changed in the latest beta opposed to the previous beta (5769) where the Toon API was already changed? Because I updated to 5809 now, but nothing has changed regarding to my Toon.

EDIT: Maybe I judged to soon, it does seem to work now. However I also still get a lot of this error: Error: ToonThermostat: retrieveToonState request not successful, restarting..!

There was some more downtime at Eneco's Service center on the evening of 21 october. That made it a bit hard to confirm the stability of the latest changes to the Toon code. Since the service went back up it seems to work flawlessly but I'll monitor some more this weekend to be sure. Thanks for maintaining this! I hope one day we'll be able to interface with the Toon from the LAN directly.

If you're brave enough to root your Toon then that's possible. I rooted it (See here for instructions) http://www.domoticaforum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=87&t=11230 and PM me for the script. There are 2 scripts, one that does some tranlation into human readible data and a 2nd script that does the data-to-domoticz conversion.

Seems like toon is blocking my domoticz again. Since yesterday 12:30 domoticz can't login toon. The app on my android works fine so I guess they blocked domoticz. Maybe time to root toon.

Your great, please keep us updated. Would be nice if we could run the Toon without any Eneco servicecenter :D

There are some documentation issues.. We are almost there
But it should already work with the current patches

Did you enable 'Accept New Hardware' in the settings ?

Do I understand it right that to make use of the new developments (whatever they are) I need to delete my old Toon and then add new Toon hardware?
Or do I miss something?

Do these new developments makes the "toon op afstand" no longer necessary?

No, if you delete the toon settings/hardware (and start from scratch... adding toon again under hardware setup), you get new devices
for this 'accept new devices' has to be enabled

No, you can just install a new version of Domoticz. There is no need to remove Toon and add it again.

Personally I think the Toon op afstand functionality is still a nice one as it is the only way to lock a specific setting and override the program. (Without the need to pick a preset and disable the program)

Can you tell us a little bit of the changes / improvements you have made for the Toon?
Would be nice to know!
Thanks for all your effort

We are trying to implement the original API.
This could also mean we are now allowed to poll every 10 seconds.
I already see the correct values here, one of my main problems is that if you do not poll in 24 hours, you have to re-register...
Hopefully we can work this out soon...
The idea was to have the new version already available last week, but there were also some (un)documentation issues
Of course, when it's ready, this thread is the first to here.
You should already have toon working with the current patches
