So, I just received my first chinese Z-wave door sensor (http://nl.aliexpress.com/item/Xenon-Z-w ... 94521.html).

Of course it's not recognized by OZW, it's Sigma Designs Unknown: type=0003, id=0001, but it's a minor issue, as from the generated 4 devices (Alarm Type, Alarm Level, Access Control and Sensor) I could easily picked Sensor for the Open/Close state - and it's working without issues. The devices itself is rather bulky (note, it needs 2xAAA batteries) and there's a red led signaling the status change (one flash only). There's chinese and english manual attached, but no batteries, and a two tapes to attach the sensor to its final resting place :D According to the manual, one should get some screws as well, but it's missing from mine. One observation: the magnet seems very strong, so it certainly not needs to be placed next to each other to get contact like other door sensors.

So what is the range of the magnet and sensor? How far away can you hid the bulky device?

Perhaps give the guys from OZW a message ..
And they will add the device...

Gonna wait the documentation and provide it myself ;) Xenon promised me an engineering spec today.

At least 2 centimetres from each other (the contact breaks around 2,3 cm).

Should this one work?
http://nl.aliexpress.com/item/Original- ... 41017.html

The reseller says:

Code: Select all

This is Brand Xiaomi Human Body Sensor, Use Zigbee 868mhz.
Have CR2032 Cell battery inside and can use for 2 years.
That is not correct i was thinking?

Nope, as it's not Z-wave and AFAIK Xiaomi is not in the z-wave game (yet. Also, while xiaomi's products are innovative and rather cheap, they tend to link them to a xiaomi app (in this case, Mi Home, or something like that). If you're into chinese apps with chinese dialogs and funky english translations :)

So, the Neo power socket finally arrived. And they sent me the Z-wave version (thank god). Of course it's not recognized by OZW (Unknown: id=0258 Unknown: type=0003, id=1087), but the provided manual has a detailed parameter description, so it won't be easy to integrate into OZW and thus into domoticz. The device itself is plain and plastic (one can say it's a cheap clone of fibaro's wall plug - but it's half of that price, so i didn't expect else).

Okay, so I made the xmls based on the users manual, and it looks fine. I've sent it to the OZW guys as well.

One thing I observed (and almost pissed my pants): be sure not to play with the inclusion button and then disable the on/off via parameters as if you power off the device with the button and then disable the on/off via parameters, the devicec won't power anything.

mine arrived as well today.
I have no idea how to connect them to my Aeotec ZW090 Z-Stick Gen5 in Domoticz though.
Anyone succeeded?

Details, see http://www.szneo.com/en/products/show.php?id=189

It does not connect, it is the T version not the Z version. It's the old technology, looks the same but does not work. There selling the old stock with the same type and number. And if you go to the official shop of neo you can only find the z-wave version.
My chinese seller said I had to tell him when ordering which type I wanted, but I even send a picture with the Z-wave logo on it, to verify i got the europe z-wave version, still also got the t version... (and I ordered 3 :-( :-( ...was very pissed)

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=12819&p=91905&hilit ... wer#p93265

So a note here for others:

If you order the neo power plug order the NAS-WR01ZE with Z for z-wave in the typenumber, NOT NAS-WR01T, REPEAT NOT NAS-WR01T And TELL the seller this and the region/frequency... NAS-WR01ZE is europe, this also hold for ANY other sensor from neo their selling two different technologies in the same packages on the same frequency....

hmmmz very annoying...
Don't even know when and where I bought it to be honest and can't find any details in my mailbox.
I'm not gonna spend more time in this and I will take the loss.

Thanks for clarifying anyway Trixwood!

There should be a button, you have to press 3 times within 1,5 seconds to perform the inclusion (at least that's for the door sensor and power plug). Just to let you know: this device is not yet supported by OZW, so expect an Unkown Device.

Here's the manual: http://products.z-wavealliance.org/Prod ... 0Guide.pdf

Here's the extract of the manual: http://www.pepper1.net/zwavedb/device/894, one can make the xml for OZW.
