Anyone reading this has managed to get a Vaillant vSmart (rebranded NetAtmo thermostat) working in Domoticz?

Just to let you know that Netatmo Valves are available on Beta from version #9433 or higher

I have recently re-built my Domoticz server from zero because the old one had lots and lots of reliability problems. In the new Domoticz server running the latest version I have noticed a few good and bad changes about the Netatmo thermostat (compared to how it worked in the old version):

Good:
- There is individual support for every room controlled by Netatmo thermostat and/or smart radiator valves

Bad:
- All the Netatmo thermostat devices in Domoticz fail to refresh for many hours and then they refresh and then they don't get refreshed for many hours again. There's something wrong here... And I see that this problem has been reported in this thread by several users 3 years ago already. Yes, sure, we can set a data timeout, but that's a workaround, not a fix... any chance this will be fixed?
- In the old version there used to be also a switch showing the state of the main thermostat (basically the state of the boiler)(ON/OFF). I can't find that in the new version
- There is an "Away" switch for each individual room. That's not how it works in Netatmo. In Netatmo there is one global away switch. Even in Domoticz all the away switches for all rooms are somehow tied together. If you modify the state of one of them, all the others automatically get the same state. So I don't see why there are many of them...

Do Neatmo APP get properly updated?

This only happens with the new version of Domoticz. Yes, the Netatmo app refreshes properly. The problem seems to be in Domoticz.

Does Domoticz support Netatmo's valves directly or is there always a need for the Netatmo's Relay as well?

I guess the valves do not communicate over Wi-Fi directly but will always need the Relay in order to be controlled and read out correctly. Is this true?

The Netatmo system needs either a main thermostat or a boiler controller module, the valves do not work independently, they communicate over radio waves through some proprietary protocol, not WiFi. Only the main thermostat or the boiler controller module use WiFi.

I have last domoticz version (beta) and after removing the netatmo hardware and create a new one, i don't have my valve in new device.
Only thermostat and weather station.

How to get the valve ?

Without any succes. I'm using Version 2020.1 (March 22th 2020) on a RPI4.
It is possible to get my weatherstation-data into Domoticz. Anyone succeded in adding Netatmo Valves?

After creating a new worker, i only see Thermostat and temperature sensor. I don't have my 7 valves

Even if i change manually the set point temperature on some valve, the discovered item remain the same.

I have open a issue on github (https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/issues/4402) but no anwser.

Maybe someone who have this problem can add a comment. Maybe I didn't explain myself correctly (i'm french).

I believe there is a new API from Netatmo

with differend types;

NETYPE_WEATHER_STATION
NETYPE_HOMECOACH
NETYPE_ENERGY
NETYPE_SECURITY

Not sure the plugin can use all the types

Good news

The Netatmo plugin has been fixed (https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/pull/5174)

You need to install the beta version to have the fix
After that, you just have to authorize the detection of new devices, go to the hardware page, select the netatmo plugin and just click on modify.
Now the valves and thermostat are available in the devices

Make sure you have a backup in case the beta doesn't work properly.

Netatmo correct detected on enabling hardware.
"Netatmo has found no devices" error after 10 minutes and keeps repeating on HW interval, The values are not updated correctly, especialy CO2


Work around : set timeout on hardware tap on 10 minutes. This way the HW is restarted and values are captured as on initial detection
