Which step in this guide does not work?
mcwieger wrote:Ok, think I'm there...Quick wrap-up how I got it to work.
1. Include device in hardware: go to Setup > Hardware. Select primary controller (Aeon Stick) and click Setup. Go to Node Management > Include Node and click Incl. button on remote 3x.
2. Enable configuration for device: place ZME_RC2.xml file (see this forum topic) in ../domoticz/Config/zwave.me/ folder and add device to manufacturer_specific.xml in ../domoticz/Config/ (see start post)
3. Include devices (nodes) to be controlled by remote to remote goups: go to Setup > Hardware. Select primary controller (Aeon Stick) and click Setup. Go to Node Management > Groups & Network. Click the + sign in a group and add the node to be added in that group. Note: Group 2 in this screen is Group 1 on your remote, 3=2, 4=3, etc.
4. If the node is not added in the screen immediately: click the Incl. button on remote 3x. Close the Groups & Network screen and re-open. The nodes should now be visible in the groups.
5. In order to control scenes with the remote: First add primary controller to Group 9/10/11. Then go to Scenes > Add Scene. Create a scene and edit it. Go to Activation Devices > Add device. Click Up (or Down) button of Scene 1/2/3 on the remote 3x

Hello mcwieger,
Thank you for the reply.
Adding the remote control to my raspberry pi3 and RaZberry Z-wave add on board is no problem.
Is it nessesary to add the XML as posted below ?
My other Z-wave devices still work 2x FGS221, FGMS001, FGD212 without the XML files.
How do you add these files?
Login to Domoticz with WinSCP and place the files in the correct directory?

It should be included in Domoticz by now:

Seems the config is included in the latest version off domoticz (r5052)!
Many thanks to sarakha63 for getting this done!!!
So no, you should not have to add the XML anymore.
Please check if you see the same screen as posted on 30 April 2015 (
http://domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... 262#p41183). If that screen is there (in the Z-Wave device overview), the XML file is ok.
And while you are in that screen: please make the necessary adjustments there, to be able to use the buttons on the remote.

I have the same screen as posted 30 April 2015

- Configuration.png (237.95 KiB) Viewed 2623 times
I can also find the remote control in the 'devices'

- Apparaten.png (128.67 KiB) Viewed 2623 times
i would expect for every button a different line in the 'devices' vieuw.
But i only see 1 line like this:

- Alleen remote.png (2.55 KiB) Viewed 2623 times

That assumption is incorrect. Your remote is not a device, it's a controller.
What you should do now, is add the nodes you want to control with the remote, to the correct group of the remote control.
So looking at your picture, you can try adding the node at the top of the list (think it says 'hanglamp') to Group 2 of the remote (second one in the list). This means that you can control your lamp with button 1 of your remote. Please give that a try.

Hello mcwieger,
This weekend i'll tried your suggestion, and it worked!
So know it is possible to control my Z-wave devices with the remote.
Thanks for the advice.
Do you know if it is possible to control other devices or group then Z-wave?
For example:

Thanks again.

I haven't tried that, but it should be possible if you include one of these devices to a scene or group and then add it to one of the scene buttons. See step 5 in the tutorial I posted earlier.

SOLVED!
First of all a BIG thanks to Jos who pushed me in the right direction with some PM's. He kept me from "selling the lot"
Also thanks to mcwieger who gave the last couple of hints to use "scenes" (the "step 5" was very important for me to figure out the "inner workings")
I updated to a later beta (v3.6903, because I had to do that anyway to get a couple of Aeotec ZW075-CE working (and they did also work after the upgrade), so I did not have to "fumble around" on the XML file anymore.
what ALSO might contribute to success is that i did all of the "modifications" with the ZME in close proximity to the ZWAVE Controller (Aeon Z-stick on Raspberry Pi) so it does not need to "travers" other ZWAVE devices because of distance.
Once setup correctly distance (or hopping through other devices) does not seem to matter anymore. But again, this might be more "circumstantial" than anything else)
Before returning to this post i had the question on how to use the "second switch" on a Fibaro FGS-223, but i now have this fixed under one of the "scene" buttons using (again) "step 5" of mcwieger.
Thanks all for sharing
Wim,

I'd like to use the dimming function, but only "1" is dimming the asociated lights.
What do I have to do to make it work?
