I use Gmail without any issues. You only need to create an separate google gmail acces token for Domoticz to be able to send emails.

thanks for your interest waltervl,
I have tried the procedure described in the post, but the pages have changed and the procedure is cumbersome.
I still managed to activate the two-step authentication, but when I ask to generate an authentication token a popup appears warning me that it is not possible on the device in use and to choose another one.
At this point I gave up...
