From the base, the new way is better.
Only my experience that the old way works [even] better.
The new way is work well, but some time's is see weird things.
And sometimes he does not switch on or off or switching when I want

can anyone confirm if this is successfully working on the pi?
I'm using v1.2015
in my log I'm getting....

do the switches need to be just on/off switches for all activities?
do i need to set any as slave ?
some feedback would be appreciated...ill hold off and revert to the "old" method if someone can confirm these problems

Try re-booting the hub and setting all activity switches as "on" only. Also, set the "all off" activity as an "on" switch then use these switches as you would with the original remote

many thanks...will try this tonight.
EDIT....tried this, its still not working, i don't think anyone has reported native support working on the pi ? The old method works like a charm.

I will look into the Pi problems.
On a general sidenote: Pressing 'Off' on an activity executes the 'PowerOff' activity. So you can use regular on/off switches.

Thanks for all the hard work. Changed out my Harmony 900 for the Harmony smart with hub and connected it to Domoticz.
This looks prommising, could be a great addition. To bad 3 out of 5 times I used it it hung my pi

But still, its a work in progress, I really like the addition of this to domoticz, this will be totaly baddass when its out of beta and just wanted to say thanks!

I'll second that. I love this feature. I've added my air con units as activities and can now control these remotely. Linked with the geofencing app it's even more fantastic. Mine is running faultlessly on windows.

Which geofencing app do you use?

I'm using this as well...its great as I'm coming through the front door i can hear my tv come on and my PC start up, all with zero user interaction !!
still coming to terms with leaving everything on when i leave the house...as I'm pulling off the drive i get the notification from geofancy alerting that everything has switched off.
Geofancy is highly recommended.

I would like to send device commands from the harmony hub. For instance VolumeDown for the TV and more specific 50 times the VolumeDown command.
Is this possible with the native interface?
The standalone HarmonyHubControl supports sending device commands, I can't get it running on my Harmony Hub. Maybe the latest firmware broke something on the Harmony.
HarmonyHubControl:
./HarmonyHubControl [email] [pasword] [ip] issue_device_commands [deviceID] VolumeDown
LOGITECH WEB SERVICE LOGIN : BYPASSED
HARMONY COMMUNICATION LOGIN : SUCCESS
HARMONY COMMAND SUBMISSION : FAILURE
ERROR : submitCommand: Invalid Harmony response

Sorry, i was busy the past week. I have not forgotten you

.
It seems that running Domoticz with the Harmony Hub support on Windows is working without issues and that the Pi is giving issues. This means i will have to compile myself for Raspberry Pi, which is more time consuming than compiling for Windows.

This is on my Todo list. For volume up and down and channel up and down
