I configured OTGW via TP Link within Domoticz.
First I received some errors, (OTGW-2) then after one minute the device was recognised (OTGW-1).
What does your domoticz log say?

Did you configure the TPLInk startup script correctly?

I try to connect Domoticz and OTGW using a TPLink WR703N, but I keep getting these errors. My settings in the WR703N can't be the problem because OTMonitor works fine. I always make sure I kill OTMonitor before I start Domoticz.

My 'heating the house' goal is that I can heat each room in the house individually. Does the OTGW fit in that strategy?
I know I need remote controlled valves like the Danfoss + thermostats/temperature sensors in those rooms. Missing is the 'turn boiler on' configuration.

Before I knew about the OTGW, my idea was to make a relay contact at the boiler, connected to the anti-freeze connection of the boiler. Closing that contact will make the boiler think it is necessary to turn on, in order to prevent freezing of pipes and radiators in the system. This 'anti-freeze' system bypasses the open therm completely, I assume.

I use the OTGW for this purpose, simply because I already had one. If you don't really need an OTGW you could certainly do it in the way you describe. Having said that, the OTGW is a lot of fun (gathering all kinds of data about your central heating system), and you can override the thermostat setpoint when you're away.

What I did is simply increase the thermostat setpoint in the living room when I need the boiler to start. To avoid that the living room gets too hot, you can add remote controlled valves to all your radiators there. Or, as I did it, add a central valve near the boiler that shuts off the whole living room section (including floor heating) when the temperature in that room is above the setpoint.

The downside of this approach is that you have effectively reduced your smart modulating heating system to a simple on-off system (unless only the living room needs heat). In my case, I rarely need heat when the boiler is off (only when I use the study above the garage when nobody is in the living room), so I'm fine with that restriction. If you want more intelligent control, I would advice you to look into the Honeywell EVOhome system. Expensive, but i.m.o. the best solution for the combination of individual room control, OpenTherm and Domoticz.

Whatever you choose, don't foget that your boiler should always be able to pump around hot water, even when all valves are closed. You can leave open a small radiatior, e.g. the towel radiator in the bathroom, or you can install a bypass valve.

Hi,
I have running Domoticz on my Synology NAS works fine P1, RFX and Sun pannels
Now i connect a OTGW with a Esp wireless lan
I can see OTGW data in the log file, but no devices are available.
With the OTmonitor can i see al the data
Can someone help me?

In the OT-monitor or Domoticz hardware section you can type a direct OpenTherm command. I am fairly new to this all myself, but found out that as soon as you type PS=0, OT-monitor can read the data, but that Domoticz overrides it all the time with PS=1. It may help when you jumpstart the process by doing the PS=1
(PS: when I want OT-monitor to read the data, I need to disable the OTGW in Domoticz hardware, because Domoticz overrides the PS=0 every few seconds with PS=1. I have no clue why Domoticz does that, it is obviously needed for correct functioning in their software.

I use the iSense thermostat, and frequently use the vacation program when I am away from home for a while.
But if I decide to come home early, is there a way to cancel the vacation program using the OTGW?
If I send a command TT=0, how will the iSense interpret that?

I have exactly this problem, except I am not on NAS but on Rpi.

Hi,Sorry for maybe dumb question. Is opentherm gateway compatible with any boiler with the eBUS terminal?
I own Vaillant atmoTEC plus but cannot find anywhere is it opentherm compatible or not. It has eBUS +/- terminal but have no idea is usable at all.

From all I know about the eBus, it is not interchangeable/same as Opentherm. Vaillant sell a separate board for Opentherm communications that connects to the eBus, but it is not compatible with all models they produce. Suggest contacting them to find out if they have one that is compatible.

Tried increasing your reference voltage? I was getting them on a reasonably regular basis but increased to X=4 and not had one since. From the troubleshooting:
If you see nothing, or things like "Error 01" or "Error 03", the reference voltage may be wrong. You can modify it via Options → Settings (F5) or with the VR=X command. where X is a number between 0 and 9. The normal value is 1.250V (X=3), but due to variations in the used components you may have to change it. If you find you need a value less than 1.042V (X<2) or more than 1.667V (X>5), check that R5 and R6 have the right values. Don't forget to click the Set button after every adjustment to actually make the change in the gateway.

Only every-time i get the error 3...

Is there a way to use.
First the otgw power up then the usb and reboot the pi?
Or first usb power off rpi and then all reboot.
or???

Did you check the values of the R5 & R6 resistors? They should be 33 kΩ and 4.7 kΩ respectively. If not, probably good to get them within limits to start. You also mentioned that you tried increasing the voltage, but not decreasing [X=2, or X=1]. I trust you sent the command as X=4 etc. and not VR=4 etc. as in your reply?

I am using an ESP8266 WiFi module and not a USB connection. I simply powered on the OTGW and after a few seconds reset the OTGW (short the RST pins for 1 second, or send a reset to the gateway (serial command "GW=R") initially. All my measurements were largely within specification (some slight variations on the resistor values, but not outside of the 5% tolerance). I did get a number of "Error 03" messages (around 3 or so per hour) initially, but after increasing the reference voltage to X=4 they stopped completely.

Sorry - I must have been tired when I wrote the previous reply - command is indeed "VR=x", where x=0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. If it doesn't work with any of these (try them all), I'd start with testing all the resistor values with the OTGW disconnected as per the Troubleshooting http://otgw.tclcode.com/debugging.html. I suspect there is a resistor (R5 or R6) that is not quite right, or a short/dry connection on PCB
