Re: Controlicz - Domoticz to Google Home/Assistant integration

Post by sundodger »

Hi all, I am trying to get my echo dot to speak when the doorbell is pressed. No luck so far.
I have Domoticz running on a raspberry Pi with the doorbell connected to the GPIO. When the doorbell is pressed it triggers various actions, pushbullet notifications etc.
I did set up a routine in the Alexa app that should trigger when that same switch closes. Nothing happens.
I also setup a dummy motion sensor with a delayed off to see if that worked, still will not trigger.
I feel i am missing something obvious. Has anyone implemented similar? If so how did you get it to work?
Thanks

Check you have any devices with special characters in them, change them (details in the email), and then reconnect your account in the Home app
i tried to delete the plan $hidden devices but my other plans disapeared..
can i get them back with a backup? and do i do this with de db file?

pfff why did i even started this...

btw is the $hidden device floorplan the one who is making it not to work? or is it really a device with a special character...

It's a device, not the $hidden devices room plan.

Hi,
I'm new to Controlicz and have to following problem when setting up my information.
I accidentally put my http port in instead of my https port and now I'm trying to edit this in my profile.
However each time i'm trying to edit the website keeps asking for my username and password and does not continue actually editing my profile.
Could you maybe help me fixing this?

With kind regards.

It looks ok, can you try linking your Controlicz account again in the Home app?
just tried a few minutes ago.. nothing..

i have a video of it what happens but cant upload i think only pictures?
Try this link to set-up you're Controlicz.

https://ehoco.nl/domoticz-bedienen-goog ... ontrolicz/

Controlicz WAN IP-address = 35.178.116.149

From the outside (WAN) the next https trafic PORT 443 from IP-address: 35.178.116.149 has to be Forwarded to you're STATIC IP-adress of you're Domoticz controller internal (LAN) on you're Router/Firewall!

You need also set WEBSITE protection on you're Domoticz setings....

Please let us know

Cheers,

Mike

When I do so it just keeps on popping up. By username you mean my emailadress right?

Hello All, all the best for 2020.

The question is; what is usable from Domoticz/Controlicz as VOICE CONTROLE?

Is it possible to use "Groups or Scenes" within Domoticz and CALL these names? (Google Home)
Or can you make these "Groups" ONLY within the "Home APP" on you're mobile phone?

I thought Domoticz would be the Leader in this, but for now it's not working as I thought it would.....
Are de (light) switches only usable....

Please advise, it's looking great but can't get it working
A link/hint in the right direction would be nice.

Hi Mike -
you can use Domoticz Scenes/Groups in Google Home (Hey Google Activate <SceneName>) - just make sure the Scenes toggle is enabled in your Domoticz User settings.
You can use lights (brightness + colour)/switches/temps/selector switches in most languages

Thx,

That worked like a charm :-)
It's all in the "words" you are using, trying in Dutch!

For now active.

All I need to find out is how to get the scenes from the "HUE Gateway" in place and usable....

Cheers,

Hi,

I'm busy now to install everything but I searching for an push notification solution for example an doorbell.
I see in the past x hundreds of posts (big topic btw ) some of the same questions but without an solution as far I see.

So is it possible to setup push notifications to the GA?

Hi - there's no method of push notification for smart home yet. It's an ongoing (and frustrating) conversation with Google. Alexa provided it for sensors over a year ago, but Google continue to drag their feet on sensors + notifications
