I think DSM-4.3 will work, but you have to test.

I have compiled a test for you here: http://jadahl.dscloud.me/sspks/packages ... 3619-7.spk

Thanks a lot :)
But how can I install DSM4.3 ? Synology does not provide it for DS209.
https://www.synology.com/support/download/DS209

Should I softmod mys DS209 to a DS211J as suggested Skippiemanz?

Just do a manual install.
domoticz_88f6281-4.3_2.0.3619-7.spk is backward compatible to DSM-4.2.
Just download this : http://www.jadahl.com/domoticz_beta/ and do a manual install.

Or softmod your DS209, it's your choice :)

Oh, I did not get
I did a manual installation and domoticz seems to be running.
However I need to go back home (I am at the office) to check it. Router is not yet configured to allow me to connect to it
I will then put the USB Zwave adapter and see if everything can work.

Thank you so much :D

Hi,

I have a DS209++ and the same problem with DSM 4.2 being the last compatible version.

DS209++ seems not upgradable at all to DSM 5.X...

Would it be possible to compile a a 4.3 version for ppc ?

I managed to install synocomunity version but it's an old one with no rflink support.

tks,
Nouch.

Thanks a lot !

I was able to install it, Domoticz is working properly.

I have nothing to plug in it at the moment, but I'll buy a rflink gateway and let you know if any issue.

On my side, I have received my AeonLab GEN5 USB device yesterday.
Hopefully I will be able to play with domoticz in the coming days :D

Well, domoticz is running, but it does not see my Aeon labs GEN5 USB stick
No hardware is detected.
I also tried to add a new hardware manually, type= "OpenZwave USB", and tested for every USB port.
But each time, I have the following errors in my synology's log:
ERROR: Cannot open serial port /dev/ttyUSB0. error code 19

What am I supposed to do ?

If I understand you correctly, OpenZWave USB does not appear in the dropdown menu?
Have you downloaded the latest version domoticz_88f6281-4.3_2.0.3771-7.spk

The "type" dropdown menu from the hardware page shows the "OpenZWave USB" line. No problem with that.
But I tried every USB port that is suggested and results each time the same:
ERROR: Cannot open serial port /dev/ttyUSB0. error code 19
or
ERROR: Cannot open serial port /dev/ttyUSB3. error code 19
for USB3, obviously...
This log message are from the synology logs.

In domoticz, I have the following log:
2015-12-05 16:27:31.000 OpenZWave: Starting...
2015-12-05 16:27:31.000 OpenZWave: Version: 1.3-565-gec4efa6

2015-12-05 16:27:51.043 Error: OpenZWave: Driver Failed!!

I was using domoticz_88f6281-4.3_2.0.3619-7.spk, I have just tested with the latest domoticz_88f6281-4.3_2.0.3771-7.spk with the same results :(

Hmm strange, maybe some USB driver problem with DSM-4.3 and my package.
Try to install my latest UsbSerialDriver additionally and see if that helps.

Thanks.
Synology tells me that there is nothing for DSM4.2 in this USB package.
Has it been compiled for it?

What version of DSM 4.2 do you have?
DSM4.2-3203?
If you have DSM4.2-3255, you can try this: UsbSerialDrivers_3.0.6.spk: http://jadahl.dscloud.me/sspks/packages ... _3.0.6.spk

Indeed, I have DSM4.2-3255.
Installation of 3.0.5 went wrong, but it seems that something has been installed.
The installation of the 3.0.6 needs the desinstallation of the 3.0.5.
But I cannot uninstall 3.0.5 ! :( Just a pop-up window saying it could not uninstall.
The system log has only a single line about it:
Failed to uninstall package [USB Serial Drivers].

Yaaaaaaargh !

You have to stop domoticz before you uninstall the UsbSerialDrivers, if that not work, you have to log in to your synology with WinSCP or similar software and manually remove the old UsbSerialDriver package. location is /volume1/@appstore/UsbSerialDriver.

Failed even when domoticz was stopped.
I logged with ssh and removed the directory /volume1/@appstore/Usbserialdrivers

Now the installation of 3.0.6 tells me that it could not install it because it is already present.
I indeed see a package which status is "error", but I still cannot uninstall it...

ps: There a 4 usb drivers, which one should I enable when I install it? I tried to select all, I guess it is preferable.

Yes you can select all drivers.
Did you try to reboot your Synology before you installed new package?
I have never had any problem remove the old package with SSH, but I have a different synology with x86 cpu.
With SSH:
From the command line you can just remove the directory 'rm -rf /var/packages/UsbSerialDrivers' and/or /volume1/@appstore/UsbSerialDrivers

Great !
I had indeed to remove also /var/packages/UsbSerialDrivers
Thanks a lot.

I am now trying to see if I can use domoticz with my Aeotec USB stick.
Should it be detected automatically ?

I have compiled a 4.2 package you can test if you want.
I don't think it does matter if it is for 4.2 or 4.3, but as a last try you can test if you want.
