I suffered the same as you.

I fixed the problem by just upgrading the firmware to the latest version.

This version includes the patch

I was already using the latest version: FosIPC_E_app_ver2.x.2.33.bin

Next problem I'm facing is the fact that the camera won't work in Surveillance Station on my Synology DS414. I get connected, but after that it tells me it is disconnected.....

I got it running on my surveillance station DS 13+ flawless after the FW Upgrade.

I'm using:

Surveillance Station 7.1-4141
Foscam FI9803P V2 with firmware 2.54.2.33

I tried the default settings: no go. Then I tried to set the Bitrate to constant: no result.

Video settings: 1280x720, FPS 25

I'm lost....

Try setting it to tcp only.

And is the camera inside your lan? Or external?

Tried that too. With 640x480.

The camera is in my network. With the camera software I have no problems. Even when I use the browser, I see streaming video without any problems.
I also tried the FI9803P settings instead of the FI9803P V2 settings. Same results: nada

I have firmware 2.54.2.5 on the camera....

Here are my settings in SS:

This is what I have:

System Firmware Version: 1.9.3.16
Application Firmware Version: 2.54.2.33
Plug-In Version: 3.3.0.19

These versions seem newer than yours. Downgrading isn't possible.....

Edit:

Using ONVIF settings, I managed to get it working. But....it should be able to work with the FI9803P V2 settings, right? How come it doesn't work??
