yes, its a on/off state, you can edit the switch, set it to another type, or provide your own icon for it

Hello,
Can you make it possible to split the one on/off state switch into two switches? One for the smoke sensor and one for the CO? This way you can initiate different actions like:
- Windows closes when smoke alarm
- Windows open when CO alarm
And maybe one for notification purposes like battery fail etc.
Looking forward to your quality work. Thanx en regards.

component_smoke_test_passed
component_heat_test_passed
component_us_test_passed
component_temp_test_passed
component_co_test_passed

Morning,
I assume you derive those from the Nest platform API (
https://developer.nest.com/documentation/api-reference). You refer to more components than the api mentions (?) but CO and smoke are the ones in question that are the most valuable. Is it possible to split those into two switches? 3-ways switches are not possible so in my opinion the value "warning" should trigger the switch / alarm.
For you reference:
The nest website reports some basic info, see attachments. Discription from Nest platform API:
CO alarm
co_alarm_state
Is normally "ok"
When Nest Protect starts to warn the user of rising CO levels, the value will be "warning"
When the user should exit the home, value will change to "emergency"
Smoke alarm
smoke_alarm_state
Is normally "ok"
When Nest Protect starts to warn the user of rising smoke levels, the value will be "warning"
When the user should exit the home, value will change to "emergency"

Just bought a Nest Protect and added it to Domoticz. Its appearing as a single switch - is this correct?
Just wondering if its possible to monitor battery/smoke/co/test status?

Just wondering if it is possible to add the Proximity and light sensor from the Nest Protect 2.
Saves me in buying separate sensors.

Not sure on the best forum post and where to note this. I was looking for the official Nest forum post but didn't find it.
Is it possible the Nest Thermostat and Protect could be separate devices? When it shows up on the list of devices it just shows as Nest so you can't distinguish really which entries are for the thermostat and which ones are for the Protect.
Also, I'm not sure if anyone has noticed this, but the Nest just recently has flooded my Device list. It was never like this before. I have 1 thermostat and 1 Protect. There are over 200 entries that are labeled under Nest. They all have different IDX's but may be showing the same result in multiple instances. Naming the hardware as separate devices would really help though IMO with organizing/understand the devices table better.

I have 4 Nest Protect added to Domoticz. The Nest system works and I receive a message on my iPhone when the alarm triggers. But, in Domoticz nothing happens. What do I have to do to receive also a message from Domoticz or trigger a light switch when one of the Nest Protect devices sounds the alarm?
I also see nothing in the log file.....

Nope. It's recognized in Domoticz, but you can't do anything with it unfortunately.
