Yes the camera is connected if it works with cables, with the battery it will fulfill this function only when quelqun will appear at the door.
The battery has a life rather short selons testimony, and it is best to log in. Even if this one is rechargeable.
Its angle of view is 180 °.
It is actually equipped for night vision.
There is no API provided for the moment according to information provided by the manufacturer.
This model is integrable in Domoticz actual duration.

AFAIK there is no integration yet, but it should be possible.. The Dutch (athom) homey has a driver, see: https://github.com/denniedegroot/com.ring

Looking at the source it looks like they are using an api from ring.
https://github.com/denniedegroot/com.ri ... lib/Api.js
Hopfully someone can and is willing to make a pluggin for domoticz with that info.

I would be interested in this too, unfortunately I'm not a developer neither.
Can't we ask gizmocuz to see if this could be added as a feature in Domoticz? Seems like Ring doorbell is broadly used and supports a lot of integrations...

That would be greatly appreciated from my side, if gizmocuz would implemented it.

Unfortunately not for videostream but...

https://github.com/jeroenmoors/php-ring-api

Unofficial PHP API client for the Ring.com doorbell.

This is a very basic PHP client for the Ring.com (https://ring.com/) doorbell. It is able to connect to the ring.com server and poll for motion or dings (aka somebody pressed the button).

I'm in no way affiliated with Ring.com, these are just my personal experiments.

Hello,

I would like to be able to test this program (https://github.com/davglass/doorbot)
I have no idea how to do it. Which files to download? How to compile them?
I am very very beginner

Just purchased the Ring Pro and very pleased with its capabilities.

Only not so pleased with the IFTTT solution/intergration to domoticz.. it has a lag witch varies from 3 sec to 5 minutes...

I found several sources witch have different code languages... unfortunetly im not a coder/developer but i hope someone can make a working connection:

Python:

https://github.com/tchellomello/python-ring-doorbell
https://github.com/mpoulson/Indigo-Ring

Javascript:

https://github.com/davglass/doorbot
https://github.com/homespun/homebridge- ... o-doorbell

PHP:

https://github.com/jeroenmoors/php-ring-api

Ruby:

https://github.com/krazerxz/ring-api

Offcourse i would be willing to test!

Just tried the pho library and it's not working any more. Looks like it's the same with the homebridge plugin. Read the issue page on github. Ring did maybe change their backend.
