I recently (2 weeks ago) installed a Fakro roof window (the FTP-V), which contains the new Gen-5 z-wave chip. After including the roof window in Domoticz, you get 7 new devices:

- Fakro.png (22.05 KiB) Viewed 3355 times
For now, I use 3 devices:
- The RoofWindow itself, which is a Blinds Percentage Inverted device
- RoofWindow RainSensor
- RoofWindow RainSensor Alarm
The rainsensor devices go "On" when it is raining outside and the roof window is open, the roof window then closes automatically. These rainsensor devices go "off" after 2minutes, so they do not stay "On" for as long as it rains.
I'm still figuring out what the alarm devices are doing exactly. They are switching Off together with the rainsensor device. Probably to be used to trigger other z-wave devices as well via the group function. I must admit that I only recently started with z-wave and I did not read the f*cking manual

.
One thing I also didn't get to work is to operate the roof window from Domoticz as well as with the remote that came with the roof window the Fakro ZWP10). Probably I have to add the ZWP10 as secondary controller or something. Seems that I do have to read that manual.
If anybody has questions about this roof window (or tips on how to add the remote), let me know!

Hi D'rMorris,
I've also installed a Fakro roof window (FTP-V) but I already have a problem to include the roof window in domoticz. The roof window is working with the remote which is included. How dit you include the window?
And do you have it working correctly now?

Apologies...very late reply... The window was working with Domoticz immediately. Not at home at the moment, but I think I clicked on "include node" in Domoticz and then pushed the P-button on the window 3 times. After that, it was OK.
I hope you got it working in the meantime

Yes, works fine and problem free for almost 5 years.
Upgraded to Domoticz Stable 4.10717 a while ago and now that I look at it,
it's reported as Fakro ZWS12 Chain actuator 12VDC (???), unprotected and no polling.

Ok thanks for replay.
I resolved problem with show correct status.... works ok after enable polling.
But tell me. When windows is closing and after stop close he retracts the chain a few millimeters. After thta in my opinion i have a leak in the window. Is any chance to regulate this... maybe inside in device we can some changes to shorter retracts the chain...
please upload in high resolution inside device photo because on this forum is malll image ... but i want see inside....I do not want to spin my to have a guarantee ... And if you manage to regulate it somehow, it will start. Thanks

I’ve register just to reply... you are the only post I can find who is having the same issue!
I’ve used the ZWS230 for almost three years ( with Aeon ZStick Gen5 and Home Assistant / OZW) and since last week it does not report new state and cannot enable protection mode!
It is always reported as ZWS12 but other than that it has worked and reported ( without polling) perfectly. I don’t know why the sudden behaviour change!
